Came for the films, left with the people ❤️ What started as volunteering became, friendships, memories, and a chapter I”ll always carry with me. Late-night trains, long workdays, meeting amazing people, and volunteering at the SoHo Film Festival - slowly watching my dreams come to life, one experience at a time. ⚡️Premiering Episode 1 “Othello” @typecast.series w Typecast Fam @queencityfilmfestnj Thank you Queen City @lamarmackson and team for such an incredible evening. Aside from films with impact, this festival is FILLED with heart. Remarks at the end of the evening left no dry eye in the room! Thank you to the entire festival team for uplifting voices, doing amazing work in the community, representing NJ film so powerfully, and giving us a platform to share our work— Typecast is a tv series spotlighting voices that are too often misrepresented, overlooked, or reduced to stereotypes. By challenging typecasting in the entertainment industry, it invites us to reconsider how we see and understand one another—and discover how much we share beyond our surface differences. 💫 Directed by @directorh @hodge_cinema Starring @yo.carillo @lennythomas w👋🏻 @aly_mang “Charity” & @jamesdonahower “Mr Trembley” @lindsay.brill @bjshaw_theanomaly11 @lisalisa2465 @eddielebron & more…CONGRATS TEAM 🙌🏼⚡️ Special Congrats to Feature Film WINNING DIRECTOR @shawnantoineii — and his closing night film @thesightunseen1971 - A beautiful, true, inspiring story set in the 70s- giving us all a push to remember the power of our belief systems and FAITH in the miraculous 🙏🏼✨ I may be biased but… This is the work that can change the world 🥹❤️‍🩹 🌍 Much Love all! #indiefilm #indiefilmmaker #indiefilmmakers #redcarpet #filmfamily

One last night on the red carpet! 🎬✨ What an incredible week at the @sohofilmfest From our SOLD-OUT screening of @aniceplacetovisitfilm to discovering extraordinary independent films, celebrating fellow filmmakers, and making new friendships, this festival has been such a special experience. One of my favorite parts of filmmaking is the people you meet along the way. The conversations, the laughter, the creative connections, and the shared love of storytelling. A huge thank you to the @sohofilmfest for bringing us together and creating such a welcoming space for independent filmmakers. Until next time, SOHO! ❤️🎥 #SOHOFilmFestival #ANicePlaceToVisit #IndependentFilm #WomenInFilm #NYCFilmFestival #JessicaSherr

🎥 The films move you and the people behind them hold the whole world together. Festivals don’t run themselves, and hard stories don’t get told on their own…but everyone here makes it LOOK EASY 🙌🏼 …That’s the movie magic✨ I’ve witnessed first-hand that running a festival is a behind-the-scenes marathon! Hats off to all the humans who pull off the impossible and make it feel and look effortless. Here’s a peek behind opening night red carpet, where I had the pleasure of interviewing filmmakers & cast, alongside @sibylsantiago @cslensnyc and the incredible @sohofilmfest team! Films are still screening TODAY- If you’re in NYC, head to @regalunionsquare & support #IndieFilmmakers #IndieFilm — CONGRATULATIONS to all accepted into the 26’ program! ✨ #SIFF17 #SOHO17 📸 @championeyephoto 🎞️ @sid_thekid_09 • @bynocolour 🎥 Opening night film: @jackrabbitmovie 🎶 @connorprice #SohoFilmFest

REALM OF THE WATERFALL TV SERIES GOOD MORNING MY PEOPLE UPDATE! Due to us moving from Motion Picture to TV Series, there will be a basic recasting of roughly 50% of the Cast. Several Main Roles have been opened up due to budget restrictions and Talent not wanting to move to the Series. We are adding Cast as we move forward but will be doing a Major Casting Network Announcement in the beginning of 2027 to do the final Auditions. To answer the question that I have received a lot, the main reason for the change is that we are taking ROTW back to its roots and rebuilding it there with the Motion Picture to come later. The cost of the Production was a major concern but this move to Television will allow us to do an entire season for the cost of the Feature. We are definitely excited about the change and have started the Process of building the ROTW World. Email: ascendicarain@gmail.com

🍂✨HAPPY AUTUMN EQUINOX!⚡️ Today, the sun crosses the equator, marking the OFFICIAL beginning of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere— A seasonal turning point when day and night are equal 🙏🏼 And for The Balanced Beauty, there is no more meaningful reminder: 💚Balance is not about doing everything perfectly. It is about knowing when to hold on—and when to let go 🍃 🍁 🍂 Autumn invites us to follow nature’s example… 🙌🏼 Release what has run its course 🌈 Turn inward and nurture what needs our care ⚖️ Restore balance between movement and rest, giving and receiving, light and shadow The equinox reminds us that both light and darkness have a place—and that wellness is not found at either extreme. It lives in the rhythm between them. As the trees release their leaves, may we feel permission to soften our grip, clear away what feels heavy, and create space for the season ahead. Here’s to entering autumn feeling grounded, nourished, and beautifully balanced—from the inside out! 🤎✨ 📧 1:1 Coaching Spots are now open for October Limited spaces for hourly or monthly coaching ⚡️Transformation 🦋 is my speciality ⚡️ www.TheBalancedBeauty.com for more info #AutumnEquinox #Balance #Beauty #SeasonalLiving #HealthyChoices

LAUNCH: I’M NOT A GOOD PERSON, I’M A NEW YORKER By Jamal Hodge A couple weeks ago, we celebrated the sold-out launch of I’m Not a Good Person, I’m a New Yorker at The Twisted Spine in Brooklyn. A night of NYC, social horror, philosophy, poetry, and that uniquely New York brand of humanity. I’m endlessly inspired by my brotha Jamal, who has never been afraid to tell the truth, whether through the streets, the page, or the screen. Key takeaway: BE VULNERABLE. HAVE COURAGE. This collection explores race, class, love, loss, survival, and the beauty and brutality of New York City. The book belongs to all of you now. Get your copy wherever books are sold. Support art that makes you feel something. 🗽📖
