I feel so proud and grateful hitting my 100th class at @outdoorgroupfitness today.

I was so reluctant and scared to get back into any sort of movement, post injuries, life changes, etc etc. I delayed and delayed, tried different things and nothing stuck. @gobblygook24 put my name down as a referral when she joined and they called to try and get me to come to a free class. I told them my knee was effed and that I wasn’t going to do anything for like 6 months. 6 months later they called me and asked how my knee was doing, and if I wanted to try a class. I didn’t lol but I was impressed by the thoughtful follow up and question about how I was doing before trying to get me to come in.

Finally took the leap after @ksushimi and Sam came to a workshop of mine at CHV and talked @keecreative and I into trying it out and the rest is history.

I get such a boost from seeing these beautiful faces at 7am and seeing the way this community shows up for each other and cheers each other on. I would say it’s been hard but honestly, it really hasn’t. Sure, there have been days where my body didn’t feel as good as I’d like, or move the way it would 20 years ago, but honestly if I just show up, the coaches (s/o @nick_defitness34 @true.potentialfitness @keithy_21 @arinareidmartin @hinkemily @thee_eddie_smith), the wonderful staff, the programming, the vibes, and the community are enough to get me through and make each class feel like only a few minutes have passed.

Chasing 100 classes before our 40th bdays with Robin has been the icing on the cake for this journey and I’m so proud of us for setting our goal and sticking to it. The goal of getting stronger and healthier is the most worthwhile fitness goal I have ever chased.
