I'm really proud to stand in front of our @commercial_interiorsuk 'Your Trade Association' lightbox, knowing all of the work our team has recently completed on our members' behalf.

This photo was taken in Manchester last week, where we launched our BTR sector report, a tool which enables our members to enter, or grow within, this sector. All of our sector reports are free to our members, and we're building a great library which already includes workplace, senior living, and now BTR.

But it also feels timely to speak about Your Trade Association as we very recently held our AGM. 35+ of our Board, Council, and members, joined us to hear about how we are operating as an organisation and how we are working on their behalf. Full transparency. And just one of the many ways we are working as an inclusive and transparent not-for-profit organisation.

We've also just published two pieces of work which I'm really proud of. The first is our member survey, the first since 2017, which enables us to understand our strengths and weaknesses, the opportunities and challenges our members face, and tailor our member benefits to fit their needs.

Secondly, we've published our 2026-2029 Strategy, where we've laid out our areas of focus and what success will look like in 6 key areas. It's a tool for our members to keep us accountable and to see where we are focusing our time and resources.

I'm waiting at Kings Cross for my train home, it's been a great day.

Today we held the @commercial_interiorsuk AGM, and more than 30 people attended. I'm beyond grateful.

In the past 3 years our team has worked hard to demonstrate that CIUK is a contemporary, transparent, and inclusive organisation which is owned by our members. It is their Trade Association.

For so many of our members to invest their time in finding out how we're operating as an organisation, hearing the results of our member survey, and learning more about our 2026-2029 strategy, is absolutely wonderful. It was a real pleasure to answer their questions.

What a celebration in Paris! 🇫🇷🚴‍♂️🎉

We were there as guests of Hansgrohe Group, proudly supporting Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe and watching Remco Evenepoel complete an incredible Tour de France in second place overall.

A huge thank you to hansgrohe for a true once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, riding through Paris ourselves yesterday, then witnessing this unforgettable celebration today.

And an extra thank you to the brilliant BORA colleagues, whose cheering and singing kept the atmosphere alive at the race and long into the celebrations afterwards!

Hansgrohe is celebrating 10 years of supporting professional cycling this yea, and what a day to experience that passion up close. 🚴‍♂️

Bike fitting, full Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe kit, a few tough climbs, exhilarating descents, beautiful scenery and a very welcome coffee stop.

Feeling incredibly grateful to Hansgrohe for such a special experience, and even more inspired by what these riders do day after day.

Now bring on tomorrow’s final stage in Paris and the chance to celebrate the team’s success.

By carving out time to visit, speak to graduates and engage with their work, we can help build confidence, create connections and show young designers that there is a place for them within commercial interiors.

The week has been super challenging.

Accepted a low offer on our house.
The buyer pulled out.

A light came on in the car.
Pretty much a right-off.

Haven't been feeling very well.
Spent all morning waiting for an appointment.

What has been making me happy (see stories) is all the people doing their thing to the crazy (but joyful) Puerto Rico song. The man mowing lawns at speed which is completely mesmerising and oddly calming. And, Sheffield has been invaded by wild cats, including this wonderful glowing lion 'Fable' by Roanna Wells in the Botanical Gardens.

Going to have pizza for tea, and a G&T!
