Allow us to introduce ourselves. We’re Austin and Alyssa Jankowski, the new owners of Hot Room.

Honestly, it still feels surreal to say!

For us, this is about so much more than fitness. We fell in love with The Hot Room 10 years ago after taking our very first hot yoga class here. From that moment on, we knew there was something special about the studio. The sense of community, connection, and support we found at Hot Room was unlike anything we had experienced before, and it quickly became a place that felt like home.

Over the past several years, we’ve had the privilege of teaching here and building relationships with so many incredible people. Outside of the studio, we work with men and women through lifestyle coaching, and Alyssa is also a part-time surgical nurse. We love serving others, staying busy, and helping people become the best versions of themselves.

As we begin this new chapter, we have big dreams for the future of Hot Room. Our goal is to continue growing this amazing community while preserving the heart and spirit that has always made it so special. We are committed to pouring our hearts into this studio and creating a space where everyone feels welcome, supported, and inspired.

Thank you for all of the kind messages, encouragement, and warm wishes. We are incredibly grateful and beyond excited for the opportunity to carry on the Hot Room legacy.

We can’t wait to continue this journey with all of you. ❤️ See you on your mats 🔥 taken in Hot Room Toledo • Yoga + Pilates by @alyssakjank

Yoga flow session with myself to end a busy day 😌✨💗🫧

Thank you to @kori.clausen and @wellshelle24 for all your education and mentorship so far. Learning from them over the past several months in 200 hour YTT has been so enlightening. The fact that I can now take myself through an entire flow makes me so proud. Still lots and lots of growth to go, but we all start somewhere 🌱

If you are afraid to try yoga because you’re “not flexible or your brain works in overtime”… that’s every reason to start. 🫶🏽 taken in Hot Room Toledo • Yoga + Pilates by @alyssakjank

A new era for Hot Room and one we were really honored to document.

A couple weeks before the grand reopening, we sat down with Austin + Alyssa to talk through what they wanted this day to feel like. Not just what needed to be captured, but what this moment meant for them, their team, and the community they’ve built around Hot Room.

They gave us a lot of creative freedom, which made this one especially fun.

Colleen handled photography while I filmed. We started with headshots for the entire Hot Room team, clean, personality-driven portraits that give every instructor something they can use to promote their classes and help new people feel like they already know who they’re walking into the room with.

From there, we documented the classes, vendors, people, movement, little moments, and all the energy surrounding the reopening.

And somehow, despite doing absolutely none of the workouts ourselves, we stayed completely drenched after spending three classes inside the Hot Room carrying cameras and moving lights around. 😂

Creatively, this project pushed us in all the right ways. Working in the heat, moving fast, making people feel comfortable, and finding a way to make everything feel elevated without losing the energy and personality of what was actually happening.

But the coolest part was getting to capture a moment Austin + Alyssa have worked incredibly hard for.

We’ve become friends with them and with so many people in this community, so being trusted to document this chapter meant a lot to us.

There’s something really special about building alongside other local businesses that believe in Toledo, believe in community, and keep choosing to create something here.
Proud of you guys.

Thank you to @noah.kokensparger and @colleen.kokensparger for snapping the sickest shots, sweaty and all. You guys make being in front of a camera so much fun.

Life has brought so much growth, change and opportunity over the past several months, and it’s been amazing in every way.

And to be totally real, stressful too. But even the stressful seasons are opportunities to grow and come back better.

I wouldn’t trade my life for the world ✨💖 Count your blessings fam. They are all around us. by @alyssakjank
