A new era for Hot Room and one we were really honored to document.

A couple weeks before the grand reopening, we sat down with Austin + Alyssa to talk through what they wanted this day to feel like. Not just what needed to be captured, but what this moment meant for them, their team, and the community they’ve built around Hot Room.

They gave us a lot of creative freedom, which made this one especially fun.

Colleen handled photography while I filmed. We started with headshots for the entire Hot Room team, clean, personality-driven portraits that give every instructor something they can use to promote their classes and help new people feel like they already know who they’re walking into the room with.

From there, we documented the classes, vendors, people, movement, little moments, and all the energy surrounding the reopening.

And somehow, despite doing absolutely none of the workouts ourselves, we stayed completely drenched after spending three classes inside the Hot Room carrying cameras and moving lights around. 😂

Creatively, this project pushed us in all the right ways. Working in the heat, moving fast, making people feel comfortable, and finding a way to make everything feel elevated without losing the energy and personality of what was actually happening.

But the coolest part was getting to capture a moment Austin + Alyssa have worked incredibly hard for.

We’ve become friends with them and with so many people in this community, so being trusted to document this chapter meant a lot to us.

There’s something really special about building alongside other local businesses that believe in Toledo, believe in community, and keep choosing to create something here.
Proud of you guys.

Welcome to the New Era.

The amount of people who act like I don’t eat ice cream or have guilty indulgences is honestly laughable 😂

The honest truth is that I probably eat way more dessert than you.

Ice cream flights over beer flights ANY DAY!

The difference is I work harder, move more, stay consistent, and care more about long term outcomes.

You don’t need to eliminate the foods you love.

You need to become the type of person who can enjoy them without letting them derail you.

“Following a plan has shown me that I can not only maintain but significantly improve my fitness while working full time shift work” 💛

our girl Eleanor has worked her butt off since the second she joined this program & we are endlessly proud.

she is living proof that while it’s not easy, it is 100% possible to find balance outside of shift work.
