Everyone knows I’m the type of person to talk your ear off and that writing comes natural to me, but right now, I have no clue where to start.

Dance is my first love. From bouncing to the SpongeBob ending credits as a toddler, to taking my final bow on a competitive stage. I don’t shut up about dance. I hear a song in public, it takes everything in me to not start dancing. I can’t wrap my head around the fact that this chapter of my book has concluded.

To Suzette’s Masters of Dance,
There aren’t enough words to describe the impact this studio has had on my life. My dance journey has been all over the place, but I’m beyond grateful I ended up exactly where I needed to be. Suzette’s has shown me that family doesn’t have to be by blood. Everyone’s compassion, approachability, dedication, and trustworthiness is like no other. Thank you to my coaches for trusting me to work alongside such talented people that pursue such excellence. Thank you to my teammates for showing me how far hard work, teamwork, and love can take you. To the alumni, thank you for paving the way to success. I am honored to now share the alumni title. To all of the parents, prop dads, and those behind the scenes, thank you for your endless hours of work to ensure our success.

We’re going home with dozens of first place trophies, pinnacles, 5 victory cups, and even a perfect score, but what I will take away the most from this week is the FIGHT we put up. We didn’t quit. We did NOT play. We came back stronger. The talks, last minute changes, and run-throughs paid off so much. Most would be content with being second place national champions, even if it’s just by .05 of a point ✈️. But not us. We continued the grind and EARNED our wins.

Although I am sad to trade my chair on stage (iykyk) for a chair in the audience, I will always be everyone’s cheerleader, with the loudest voice in the audience. But, just because my competitive dance journey has come to an end, does not mean that my time dancing has concluded entirely.
