Amaran is a powerful biographical war drama inspired by the real life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, portrayed by Sivakarthikeyan, with Sai Pallavi playing his wife.

The film traces Mukund's journey from a normal, cheerful young man to a fearless Indian Army officer. Driven by a deep sense of patriotism, he joins the army and undergoes intense training, shaping him into a disciplined and courageous leader. Despite the tough path, his heart stays soft-especially in his love story, which brings warmth and emotional balance to the narrative.

As he gets posted in high-risk areas like Kashmir, Mukund leads dangerous counter-terrorism missions. The film realistically portrays the life of a soldier-the unpredictability, the fear, and the unbreakable bond between teammates. Even in the middle of chaos, his thoughts often return to his family, showing the emotional sacrifices behind the uniform.

His relationship with his wife becomes one of the film's strongest pillars-filled with love, longing, and silent strength. She stands as his emotional support, even when distance and danger constantly threaten their happiness. The story reaches its peak during a crucial operation where Mukund displays unmatched bravery. In a heart-wrenching climax, he sacrifices his life while protecting his team and fulfilling his duty to the nation. His martyrdom earns him honor and respect, turning him into an everlasting symbol of courage.

Not just a war story-it's about love, sacrifice, and what it truly means to live and die for the country.

A transformation of Sivakarthikeyan from a fun-loving hero to a soul-stirring performer.

🎬Fitoor (2016)

Plot:

Set in Kashmir, the story follows Noor, an aspiring artist from a humble background, who falls intensely in love with Firdaus, the daughter of a wealthy and mercurial heiress, Begum Hazrat. As Noor pursues his passion and artistic success to win Firdaus, he is trapped in a complex web of obsession, class divide, and the bitter manipulations of the Begum, who seeks to avenge her own past heartbreak through the young lovers.

Review:

Fitoor is a visually spectacular and atmospheric adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic novel, Great Expectations. Driven by an incredibly soulful, haunting soundtrack by Amit Trivedi, the film beautifully captures the raw intensity of tragic, obsessive love. While the narrative pace can feel slow at times, the breathtaking cinematography of Kashmir and the powerful, dramatic presence of Tabu make it a deeply poetic cinematic experience.

500 Days of Summer (2009) is not just about a girl - it's about a boy who thought love was like The Smiths, and learned love is just a girl who likes The Smiths but doesn't love you.

Los Angeles, 2009. Tom Hansen, 24, greeting card writer, believes in soulmates, no real plan - just writes cards, watches Graduate, talks about destiny, about fate, about what it means to be in love when Summer Finn says "I like you, Tom, I just don't want a boyfriend."

And Summer. 23, new girl, doesn't believe in love, likes Ringo, hates commitment. As days go on - Day 27 to Day 500, non-linear, his heart becomes increasingly not his -IKEA showroom as house, dance after first kiss, record store, fight on bench, rooftop party where expectations vs reality split screen, and apartment talks where he says "We were a couple, we were happy" and she says "I was happy, but I wasn't sure about us."

The beauty of the film is that almost nothing needs to be romantic - it comes entirely from Joseph Gordon-Levitt being sincere to a fault, from Zooey Deschanel with bangs that ruined a generation of boys, from that scene where he draws a city that doesn't exist, from Regina Spektor singing "You have the right to suck my heart," from Marc Webb pausing on a 45-degree look, and the feeling that 500 Days was never about whether Summer was the one, it was about a boy growing up from wanting The One to wanting himself.

Before the end, he has to make a choice. Instead of waiting for Summer to come back at the park bench - "I woke up one day and I was sure," - he chooses to let her go. To interview at an architecture firm. To meet Autumn.

It's essentially about a single expectation that feels like an entire lifetime - 95 minutes, one girl, one boy, one Smiths song, one bench, one "It's a story of boy meets girl, but you should know upfront, this is not a love story," and one film that proved it's not Summer's fault - Tom just needed to learn the difference between a girl and an idea.
