There are spaces you walk into and you can feel a tangible shift. Awakening at @saltandgrovewellness was a room full of women telling the truth.

Not the careful tiptoe version, the raw one.
“It all starts with me”
“Don’t placate, be the sun”
“It’s not selfish to prioritize my own needs”
“I will respect time for myself, it’s a non-negotiable.”

There was permission in the air.
To sweat, to cry, to slow down.
To take up space without apology.
To be patient with the process of becoming.

And maybe the biggest reminder was,
what’s best for everyone involved in your life is NOT you running on empty 🪫 it’s you deeply resourced.

Come back to your spark, your electricity,
because the ripple effect compounds.

I left with pages of notes, but more than that, a rush of renewed momentum.

Like I had cleared brain fog and touched something honest, something future-facing, something that asked me to turn a little more toward the light.

This is the work. This is the medicine. ✨

Firelight + winter bluebird days. My two favorite extremes to read in.

I pay close attention to how I move through a conversation.
The way I hold eye contact.
The way I ask questions that open instead of close.
The way I leave space for the uncertainty of what might unfold.
To me, conversations have never felt small. They are atmosphere. The invisible design of a relationship forming in real time.

This book did not hand me a script. @profalisonbrooks approaches spoken language as something worthy of reverence + rigor. Not just chemistry, or charisma, but craft. She studies the turns, the pauses, the subtle pivots that shape whether two people connect or collide.

Topics. Asking. Levity. Kindness. TALK.
On paper, simple. In practice, artful.

Less trying to be impressive. More daring to be known.
Conversation is not about winning the room.
It is about creating one 🩵

And in that room, we can soften. We can listen longer than is comfortable. We can surrender the need to control the outcome and trust the exchange. A powerful aspect of collaboration + critique.

Something about Tulum. Regulating in a way I don’t feel many other places.

The saltwater settles the nervous system. Ritual slows the day. Rhythm brings you back into the body.

The mythology. The humidity. All the citron and cerulean. A slower pace that feels safe.

Yoga calls it presence. Neuroscience calls it regulation.

Snowfall always reminds me: we can dissolve the pressure and the rushing at any time. Stillness is always waiting. And sometimes that stillness stirs something deeper, a quiet knowing. The next chapter will unfold in its own rhythm. This version of you is becoming. The wonder is already here, swirling around you.

The juiciest part is the resistance we move through 🧃

Don’t let the world turn you cold. Meet life with ambiguity and it will mirror that uncertainty right back. If you level out as a curmudgeon, you will witness curmudgeons around you. 
Cultivating optimism is a craft. It is not always natural or easy. There will be tough days. You will make mistakes. That is part of being human. Each misstep is a quiet invitation to recalibrate. 
Some people will call this woo, but it’s true. When we liberate our minds, we free our potential. 
With all my love to @phish I am challenging the idea of surrendering to the flow. I have found the flow to be draining at times. The real work is claiming your rhythm. Choosing your direction with intention and stepping into it fully. Why hold back?

Here’s to staying soft. Staying curious. Staying in motion.
