SAI HLE wrote KHULA at a time when almost nothing around them felt stable.

They were working in Spain. Money they expected had not arrived. Difficult news was coming from home. Severe weather threatened the area around the house they were staying in beside the sea.

And there was still music to finish.

So Amahle and Siphosethu Koom did what they say they have learned to do when circumstances refuse to cooperate.

They kept working.

Months later, the sisters are talking to Viranova about much more than one song: the grace that keeps sisterhood separate from business, the orchestra-sized dreams Red Bull Symphonic made tangible, the sound they refuse to squeeze into one genre and the women they are slowly becoming.

“Your siblings are your community. They are your country.”

This is SAI HLE beyond the release.

adapt or get left behind
evolve, or remain
bend, or break
move with the tide, or drown fighting it.
grow through it, or stay stuck in it.
change, or keep repeating the same cycle.
surrender to the lesson, or suffer from resisting it.
adjust to the storm, or let the storm consume you.
find a way forward, or remain where the pain began.
become, or remain.
adapt to survive, or resist until you break.
learn how to carry the weight, or let it carry you.
flow with change, or fight what cannot be changed.
transform with the seasons, or stay behind in one.
make peace with the current, or exhaust yourself swimming against it.

KHULA 👩🏽‍🤝‍👩🏼

For every season that asked us to grow before we were ready.
