Hello and welcome 🙋🏽‍♀️!

I thought it was time I formally introduced myself. I’m Wei-Ting pronounced like the verb “waiting” — think, “waiting for a bus” 🚌. I recently turned 29 👵🏼 and live in London with my better half & my nearly-three-year-old, Leila. My daughter’s middle name, Amali, inspired Amali Studios 📷.

As a photographer, my ethos is simple: every love story is unique and deserves to be captured in a way that’s authentically you. I’d describe my style as modern, chic & effortlessly romantic ✨.

I mix candid captures with gentle direction for that editorial look while ensuring the images still feel and look natural — I promise you, no stiff poses or cheesy grins.

Here are a few tidbits about me:
• I’m a Kiwi 🥝 — born & raised in Browns Bay, New Zealand 🇳🇿

• I’m proudly Taiwanese and Asian food is my fave …specifically Japanese, Taiwanese, and Vietnamese! Boba and spicy ramen are my current cravings 🧋🍜

• My loved ones would describe me as outgoing, positive, creative, friendly, passionate and lively 💥

• I’m neurodivergent (ADD/ADHD crew!); it’s my superpower 🦸… I channel my energy into my passions and multitude of hobbies 🏋️‍♀️📚🚶‍♀️‍➡️🎞️

• ⁠My dream weekends are filled with nature, outdoor-sy activities like hiking and ocean swims, yummy food, spicy margaritas 🌶️ & being in good company

• Back in the day, I was a wedding harpist 🎶. I spent half of my life as a professional concert harpist & my claim to fame is performing infront of Prince Edward

• ⁠I’ve been jet-setting since my uni days (counting 20 trips this year alone ✈️) and love exploring new places 🗺️ — my favourite places include Fiji, Greece, anywhere in the Caribbeans, Taiwan, Aus & NZ.

• Film photography has a special place in my heart 🎞️ — As a kid, I played with my dads film cameras, then went on to buy my first Lomography and later on in school, I would spend hours developing my own film in the darkroom ✨

Caroline & Grant // The Bahamas 🏝️🤍 …this entire day felt like a dream from start to finish, so much joy & love in the air in the most incredible place. It’s easy to see why the Little Exuma in The Bahamas is so special to them!

I stayed at the bride’s villa (on the beach 🥹) all week and I had the privilege of getting to know the beautiful guests & joined in on some of the activities they had put on for their favourite people. We swam with pigs & sharks and saw some incredible sights I’ll never forget 🫶🏽… I’m still pinching myself that I get to capture love stories with dream clients in places like THIS ✨ !!!

Inside the world of off-market weddings.

Tatler explores the growing shift away from the obvious ‘trophy venue’, as couples look instead for privacy, individuality and places that offer a genuine sense of discovery.

It’s a shift we’re increasingly seeing at Parker & Bailey. Our clients are becoming less interested in choosing a venue simply because it is prestigious or well known, and more interested in finding somewhere that feels completely right for them and their guests.

Often, that means looking beyond traditional wedding venues altogether, towards private estates, unexpected locations and places that aren’t immediately recognisable as somewhere you can get married.

For us, that sense of discovery is part of what makes an off-market wedding so special: finding somewhere private, individual and entirely personal to the celebration being created.

Samantha shared her thoughts with Tatler for their latest feature, Inside the world of off-market weddings: What it takes to secure a venue that money alone can’t buy.

Marie & Rob at Wotton House, Surrey ✨.

Not even the torrential could put a dampener on what was a beautiful & joyous wedding day. The bride, Marie, was calm from the minute I stepped through the door - a genuine smile on her face 🥰. The same calm demeanour carried through the entire day despite not everything as planned.

We were lucky to get a 10 minute break in the rain for portraits so we took the opportunity, grabbed the couple & ran outside. Marie had pre-warned that Rob is ‘exceptionally awkward’ in front of the camera. I think we can all agree, Rob did pretty well 😌 …I always say, no matter how nervous / awkward the groom, it’s not hard to be beaming when you see your beautiful wife on your wedding day 🤍!!

There’s the moment as it happens, and then there’s the way you remember it.

The movement of a dress, a glance across the table, the chaos, the laughter, the few seconds you probably didn’t even realise were being captured.

That’s what I love about documenting weddings this way. Not everything needs to be perfectly posed or meticulously planned. Sometimes the most beautiful imagery comes from simply letting a moment unfold and being there to capture it.

The footage takes you back to how it moved, sounded and felt. The still gives you that one frame you’ll want to keep forever.

Two ways of remembering the same few seconds.
