Sometimes the best decisions don’t make sense to everyone… but they make perfect sense to you 🤍🇧🇷

Safe to say Norwegian names aren’t the easiest. 😂 Should we make a Part 2? 🇧🇷🇳🇴

Ad | 🏄🏼‍♂️ One of our favourite things about our surf school is seeing someone go from “I don’t think I can do this” to asking when they can come back.

If you’re coming to Rio, come surf with us 🇧🇷🏄🏽‍♀️

I don’t think I’ll ever get over this view. Seeing Rio from up here is something else 🇧🇷🚁 by @amandaastor_

For everyone who’s asked how I’m able to stay in Brasil for so long 🇧🇷 These are a few options worth looking into. Just make sure to check the requirements for your passport and situation!

I moved in with Pedro because this was already his home, where he and his family lived. I didn’t choose a favela because it was cheap or because I thought it would make interesting content.

I also know that life can be very different from one favela to another. My everyday experience here has been calm, but that doesn’t mean there are no risks or serious problems, here or elsewhere. My experience doesn’t represent everyone’s reality.

When I say I don’t think tourists should move here without a specific reason, I mean that choosing a community simply because it’s affordable or seems like a cool experience deserves more thought, including how that choice affects the people who already live there. This video isn’t encouraging others to move here.

There are important conversations to have about all of this. There are also people who deserve to be treated with respect, regardless of their address. Both things can be true.

I can only speak for myself, and this is my story ✨🫶🏽
