I realized I was going into fall feeling burnt out from a busy season of work, life and back-to-school so I gave myself the gift of a weekend that was mostly mine… ❤️(Chris joined me for my birthday night then went home the next day, for me to enjoy 2 days of me-time)

Here’s the retreat I planned for myself. Save this for the day you’re ready to plan your own.

🌊Day One - ferry from the mainland to Salt Spring Island B.C.
Check in at the Cottages on Salt Spring Island
Go to Cassette for dinner & cocktails - THIS WAS SO GOOD

☕️Day Two
Get coffee from The Little Coffee Can
Explore the town of Ganges
Go to Salt Spring Brewing
Premade dinner and baked goods from Woodshed Provisions

✨Day Three
Morning coffee & brain dump
Lunch at the Tree House Cafe in Ganges
Massage and facial at Solace Organic Spa
Watch the sunset at Vesuvius Bay beach
Went back to the cottage for the longest bath ever.

🐚Last Day
Morning coffee and muffin on the dock
Shopped at Folk Curated Goods in Ganges
Read and coldest plunge at Beddis Beach
Ferry home

There are so many ways to celebrate the people you love, but this one felt extra special. 💛

To celebrate milestone birthdays for my daughter and mother-in-law, we went to the Emily Carr Afternoon Tea at @notch8restaurant inside @fairmonthotelvan and it couldn’t have been more perfect.

From the forest-inspired setting to the beautifully crafted pastries and savouries, every detail felt thoughtful, artistic, and elevated. As two incredibly creative women, they absolutely loved the experience (and honestly, so did I).

It wasn’t just afternoon tea, it was an afternoon of slowing down, celebrating together, and making memories across three generations.

If you’re looking for a unique summer outing in Vancouver, this limited-time experience is one to book before it wraps up on September 20.

POV: you’re the sister (até), the wedding planner and the family’s unofficial manager.

Somehow survived the spreadsheets, work back schedules, timelines, last-minute details, a storm, a little tumble, and made it to the dance floor without breaking an ankle.

One of the happiest weekends for my family; seeing my brother and Sierra get married. From party planning logistics, late night calls, problem solving, work back schedules to rallying the team and seeing friends and family come together to make magic happen on day 1 of their big wedding weekend - we knew it was going to be amazing.

May was full, in the best way. Family, activities, friends, work and all the things that come with this season of life.

Time flies with three kids so I make an effort at the start of each month to make a bit of a bucket list. This month I managed to tick everything off and more 💗

✔️ a restful long weekend on the island
✔️ a fun day with me and the kids - no schedule

Here are some photos from a weekend away with my daughter, brother, and future sister-in-law on Vancouver Island with her family. They’re getting married in July so we spent the weekend preparing for the wedding with her aunt, uncle and parents. So many great memories from this weekend together.
