Closing a big chapter of life and leaving NYC after 13 years 🥹 I left my hometown in Austin TX in 2013 when I was 30 years old and moved to Brooklyn with not much of a plan but a whole lot of desire to be here. I’m glad I followed my instincts. I don’t have the words to wrap up what these years have shifted in me or meant to me just yet. I am still processing the change. But I know I met so many great people along the way and grew up in countless ways. I also got to play out a few different versions of myself, maybe that’s one of the best parts about this place. Lots to think about. Here are some pics from that first year in 2013 ❤️ by @amandapantz

There is nothing quite like NYC’s flower community, but outside of chance encounters on 28th Street, we rarely get to properly connect. That’s why three flower friends - Molly (@brownstonebotanical), Leyla (@lilyfetedesign), and Amanda (@amandapantz ) - have created Flower Hour - a floral community happy hour!

Join us for our first Flower Hour on Monday, January 27th from 5-8 PM at Izzy Rose in Clinton Hill. Whether you’re a freelance designer, event florist, flower farmer, flower wholesaler, retail shop owner, or just getting started on your flower journey - this one is for you! No agenda, no pressure - just good drinks, good company, and a chance to connect with others in NYC’s floral community. We hope to see you there and bring your flower friends too - the more the merrier! Questions? Reach out to: Molly @brownstonebotanical, Leyla @lilyfetedesign or Amanda @amandapantz by @amandapantz
