We have seen so much beauty it is hard to capture it all, but the Mezquita - the great Cathedral/Mosque in Cordoba was so much more than we had ever hoped … what a space, what an atmosphere, and we were thrilled when it was closed for Mass and we could participate with the Cardinal Archbishop of Cordoba - Incense, bells, choir and a glorious experience in every way…

The most romantic painted walls and level of comfort is a treat,

Arrived in Cordoba and ADORE our fabulous hotel..Palacio de Bailio
With huge garden courtyards and delightful staff, unexpectedly fine
food - classic ingredients and Spanish favourites but with such a twist
the restaurant is truly special….What treasures these old towns are!
One of the absolutely best birthdays ever - thank you darling Stephen!

The Cathedral of Seville, is one of the largest and most extraordinary I have ever visited. Awe inspiring in it’s scale with four main naves and many side chapels and sacristies et al, the breadth of the creative arts on display, the depth of creative talent that was used, and the piety that is so obvious, with the uplifting sense of joy in the architectural proportions, light streaming in and superb carved details, it is still with many visitors truly imbued with a sense that it is a Holy place…
I always wonder as I watch visitors from other cultures what they are thinking as they walk around…. Now that our schools have taken our Faith out of their classrooms in the West I also wonder what our own young understand about anything they see.
Creating a place to worship and honour our Creator God with the best creative talent in the land, was an act of Faith for generations to come.

The absolute highlight yesterday was visiting the Casa de Pilatos….an extraordinary palace built between the 15th & 16th C, a synthesis of the Gothic-Mudejar tradition of the Middle Ages and innovations of the Renaissance.
Simply stunning, in amazing condition and filled with the most exquisite patterns, textures and decorative details with tiled walls and floors, carved stone friezes and stunning inlaid wood ceilings….
The gardens and courtyards were delightful, and altogether it is an absolute gem……

What bliss! Seville! Arrived at Hotel Alfonso XIII after a very long trip travelling to heaven….
Lunch on their lovely terrace - tapas…their amazing courtyard is a dream, and the architecture within is a joy.
Grateful for a wonderful upgrade to a very special suite with a charming view, heavenly flowers and overflowing hearts.
Thank you @hotelalfonsoxiii - your staff are utterly charming

Sunday vibe - the garden room - such a joyous place to sit and read or watch movies looking out into the lush green garden… surrounded by flowers, real and painted, and small treasures collected over the years and some of my small silver pieces made by my SEAsian silversmiths…so many years designing products!

Blue & White & Green - cool colours for the hot and still humid evenings here in Sai Kung - the freshness of the colours helps and I adore the ferns planted up in the traditional #Kokedama technique, centuries old with the plants roots wrapped and protected by a layer moss….

A wonderful time back in Hong Kong working with the Altfield teams and enjoying City Life again after our bucolic English summer…. This amazing city is so filled with energy and excitement and the people are so positive and hard-working and the geography always breathtaking…… The video shows the residential area “Mid-levels” above the Central business area from a favourite bar…
