🌟 Fellow Spotlight: Amani Washington

Strokes of Genius Fellow @amanixwashington is a Los Angeles–based visual artist known for her bold fusion of graffiti and abstraction. Working primarily in oil, acrylic, and oil pastel on large-scale canvases, Amani’s work vibrates with rhythm and color.
She collaborated with her brother, renowned saxophonist Kamasi Washington, creating six paintings for his multimedia exhibition Harmony of Difference at the 2017 Whitney Biennial — and has since designed album art for the supergroup Dinner Party (Robert Glasper, Terrace Martin, 9th Wonder, and Kamasi Washington).

As part of her Fellowship, Amani is developing her first solo exhibition. 🎨
