What’s cookin’?

Our Happy Hour has been popping off! Pictured are our Elote Hush Puppies, Shrimp Escabeche, and Pork Belly Tacos. These dishes are cozy, packed with flavor, and great to share (or not!). The perfect bites to pair with our Pinot noirs. Keep your bellies, hearts, and glasses full as we transition into Autumn at Amaterra.

You’ve heard of a First Fruit Celebration? Yesterday, we had a Last Fruit Celebration!

It’s true, we are all in for fruit! Our final grapes were our very own 777 Swede Hill Pinot noir. Does this mean harvest is over? Not quite… we still have plenty to do, but we are so proud of our production team and all the hard work that they’ve put into this vintage!

A little harvest content for you!

It’s true, we are in full swing harvest at Amaterra. Trucks of fruit coming in, cleaning tanks, late nights, team lunches, and a whole lot to be proud of.

Want a taste of more? Join our upcoming Harvest Supper Session! On October 6th, Wine Club manager Josue is coming down for an evening full of harvest updates and a taste of this vintage. Chef Jeff will be putting out three courses in line with the theme and working with freshly pressed grape juice.

Harvest is one of the most exciting times of year in the world of wine, and on October 6, you can taste it as it happens.

Join us in Bend for a special Harvest Supper Session celebrating the beginning of this year’s vintage. Josue will be joining us from our Portland winery with live harvest updates, stories from the cellar, and a closer look at what’s happening behind the scenes. Your welcome pour will even feature active fermentations from this year’s harvest, a rare chance to taste the wine while it’s still in process.

Chef Jeff is bringing the season to the table with a three-course, family-style dinner inspired by the harvest, featuring the freshest ingredients of the season.

Each course will be served to the entire seating together, with Chef Jeff introducing each dish and house walking guests through the wines and the harvest happening right now.

Our production team spent some time last week visiting vineyard partners as we begin harvest.

In addition to the 12 acres we farm at our Portland estate, we source grapes from@multiple AVAs throughout the Willamette Valley. These vineyard visits give our team the opportunity to check in on the vines, make sure our future grapes are looking good, and introduce newer members of the production team to what we look for during vineyard walks ahead of harvest.

There’s a lot that happens before a drop of wine ever reaches your glass. That’s what makes harvest one of the most exciting times of year at Amaterra.

Amaterra Kitchen + Social Club will be open Monday, September 7, our final Monday of the season before we transfer into our winter hours.

So come make the most of it. Gather your people, grab a table, order dinner, and of course, enjoy one last Martini Monday while you can.

But don’t worry! We’re not saying goodbye to the martinis. Martini Monday is becoming Tini Tuesday starting September 15, so you’ll still have an excuse to start your week with something frosty in hand.
