Back in the States and, of course, I couldn’t stay away from the elderberry pot. 🌿🫐✨

Brewing a fresh batch of Ambã Apothecary Elderberry Syrup — one of my favorite seasonal rituals and something we keep in our fridge throughout cold + flu season.

At Ambã Apothecary, what we put on our skin matters — and so does what washes off into the world around us. 🌿☀️

That’s why our sun cream is made with non-nano zinc oxide, a mineral UV filter that sits on the skin to provide broad-spectrum protection.

We specifically choose non-nano zinc oxide because the particles are larger and designed to remain on the skin’s surface rather than being readily absorbed. And our choice goes beyond skin: mineral sunscreens made with non-nano zinc oxide are also a more considered option for our waterways and marine environments, avoiding some of the conventional chemical UV filters that have raised concerns about aquatic ecosystems.
