On Tuesday I had the absolute honor of accompanying @the_whisky_flowers to London to shoot their gig at @100clublondon 📸

Huge thanks to the guys for trusting me to capture such a huge moment for them.

Taking on live music photography for the first time was a wild ride. Between tricky stage lights, experimenting with flash on the fly, relying on my trusty kit lens, and experimenting with a vintage crystal prism, every shot was a learning curve.

What a Monday! 🎶🍻 I had the absolute pleasure of spending the day with the amazing @fleckies team over in Broughton at the cozy @redlionpubandgrub!

It all started with a few late-night dinners and drinks with @chelseajaydeee, where we brainstormed a ton of creative ideas she was eager to bring to life. I just knew I wanted to be a part of her ideas and I’m so happy those chats turned into an incredible day of collaboration bring together the best teams!

From celebrating local talent to supporting community spaces, it was all about bringing together like-minded people and showcasing the incredible energy we have locally. 🤍

It was a blast hanging out with old friends, meeting new faces, and being blown away by the talented musicians who took the stage. Can’t wait for the next one—it’s already marked on my calendar! 🎤🎵

Massive shoutout to the best chip-maker and pub landlord, Duncan! You were an incredible host, and it was so much fun rearranging the whole pub to make it picture-perfect for the content shoot. 🥳 @redlionpubandgrub

Hair shoots are honestly a dream to photograph. ✨

Watching a stylist bring their vision to life while the model transforms in front of the camera is such a creative process. The texture, the movement, the shine, every little detail matters and it’s amazing capturing it all as it comes together.

These kinds of shoots are always such a collaboration between stylist, model and photographer, and that energy is what makes the final images so special. I love being part of the team that turns an idea into something beautiful. 📸

If your city photos keep turning out “flat,” here is the missing piece: Perspective.

This view of New York City (right on West 31st) wasn’t taken from eye level. I was almost on the floor, using the edge of the Jimmy Choo billboard and that old street sign to build a frame. By looking up, you compress the geometry and create this feeling of being dwarfed by the city. The edit, done in VSCO, isolates that deep teal and the glowing yellow light in the center.
I always find that changing my height, angle, or viewing point completely changes the energy of a location. I encourage you to use what’s right in front of you but use it in a different way.

St Patrick’s Cathedral in New York.

People often ask what camera gear I use, but the truth is the best camera is just the one you have on you at the time.

While I use professional setups for client work and studio sessions, I love capturing moments on everything from digicams and film to my phone. This frame was taken on an iPhone 13 and edited in @vsco

Good lighting, composition, and catching the right mood will always matter more than having the most expensive setup in the room.
