For our debut Podcast, we sat down with Mark Robinson, founder of Music Barn Festival!

Amber has worked with Music Barn for years, and we are thrilled that James is now joining the team.

Having been friends for two decades with a shared passion for live music, discussing the festival’s local impact was the perfect way to kick off our podcast series.

We are releasing new episodes monthly and preparing for the next one.

Who would you love to see as a future guest? Let us know in the comments!

🎙️ Exciting news from Love Kettering!

We recently sat down with Mark from The Music Barn to film our very first podcast episode! 🎧

Amber has been part of The Music Barn team for a few years now, so she was absolutely delighted to learn that they have chosen Love Kettering CIC as their official local charity for 2026.

This is what community supporting community is all about. When local organizers, creative teams, and grassroots projects lift each other up, incredible things happen for our town.

We want to send a super huge thank you to Mark and the entire Music Barn team for their generous £500 donation! Receiving support like this ensures we can keep delivering impactful projects across Kettering. We already have some brilliant plans for these funds, and every single penny is going straight back into making our hometown a better place to live, work, and visit. Watch this space! 👀✨

If you haven’t grabbed your tickets for next year’s festival yet, make sure to get involved. It is an unforgettable local experience, and we are beyond proud to support a team that gives so much back to our area.

This client came to me with multiple spider naevi. These photos show the improvement after just one treatment session, once the skin had completely healed.

We went on to do a second session to treat a couple of smaller areas and tidy up some remaining broken capillaries. The black eye visible in the photo was completely unrelated to the treatment.

If you’re concerned about spider naevi, feel free to get in touch. And if you’re already qualified but would like more support with your treatment methods, I teach in association with Jane Bryan Beauty Training Academy and share my techniques through our Blemish Pro membership. ❤️ #naevis #kettering #skin #electrolysis #blemishremoval

POST 2 | BACK PAIN & LIGHT THERAPY 💡

Living with persistent back discomfort can affect everything from movement and sleep to simply getting through your working day.

Dermalux uses wavelengths of red and near-infrared light, a process known as photobiomodulation.

While many people associate Dermalux with facial treatments, photobiomodulation is also being researched for its potential role in supporting pain management, inflammation and tissue recovery.

Our targeted Dermalux sessions can be positioned over areas such as the back as a non-invasive addition to your existing pain-management or wellbeing routine.

No needles. No downtime. Just time to lie back and switch off.

Light therapy isn’t just about skin.

📍 Kolaine Beauty Lounge | Kettering Complementary wellbeing treatment. Results vary and treatment isn’t a replacement for medical assessment or care.

WHY I USE DERMALUX EVERY WEEK 💡 | Amber

You’ll probably have seen me around the salon, but something you might not know about me is that I live with hypermobility and fibromyalgia, which means pain, discomfort and digestive symptoms can all be part of my everyday life.

One thing I’ve personally found really helpful as part of managing how I feel is our Dermalux Flex MD.

I use it every week, targeting whichever areas are giving me the most trouble. I also regularly use it across my stomach, as bloating and digestive discomfort are something I experience alongside my hypermobility. For me personally, using the Dermalux over this area has become another part of my weekly wellbeing routine.

Before working at Kolaine, I probably would have thought LED light therapy was mainly for your face and skin. I now know there’s so much more to photobiomodulation than that.

Everyone’s experience with hypermobility, fibromyalgia, chronic pain and digestive symptoms is different, and I’m definitely not saying Dermalux is a cure or that everyone will experience the same results I do. But it’s something I genuinely use myself every week and personally find beneficial.

If you’ve seen us talking about Dermalux and wondered whether it’s worth exploring, I’m always happy to chat about my own experience when you’re in the salon. 💙
