HAMBURG MOVEMENT VOL. 01 🤍 What a beautiful morning for our first Walk · Talk · Connect here in Hamburg. ☀️ The sunshine came out for us as we walked through a park that holds so many memories for me from my first year living here, which made sharing it with this beautiful group feel even more special. Walk · Talk · Connect is about more than just getting our steps in. It’s about moving our bodies, clearing our minds, having real conversations and creating space to connect with the people around us. Sometimes something as simple as walking together can make such a difference to how we feel. 🤍 A huge thank you to @nanas.cafe.hamburg for collaborating with us and helping bring the morning together. And congratulations to our gorgeous giveaway winner Nina, who won an Amber Maxwell activewear set + one of our hand-poured candles. I think we can all agree she looks AMAZING! 😍 Thank you to everyone who came, walked, talked and connected with us. I loved sharing the morning with you. Still feeling so grateful after our Hamburg pop-up. 🤍 A huge thank you to Catherine and the whole @nanas.cafe.hamburg team for such a beautiful collaboration, and to everyone who stopped by, said hello, tried on the collection and took a little piece of Amber Maxwell home with you. Seeing how incredible you looked, and more importantly, how confident you felt, was so special. I absolutely loved connecting with you all in person. Recently, I received a comment that made me pause. “Do you really need to wear all the activewear with your name on it? Shouldn’t you wear some normal clothes?” Followed by the suggestion that I was “too old” to wear activewear with logos. For a moment, I thought about it. In the past, comments like that probably would have stayed with me much longer. But this time I took a breath, accepted that everyone is entitled to their opinion, and reminded myself: Someone else’s opinion of you doesn’t have to become your opinion of yourself. And strangely enough, the timing couldn’t have been better. I recently came back to Australia to launch our new Core Collection, including our new Amber Maxwell branding, alongside #city2surf and @thedepotbondi . We had both our existing Activate Collection and new Core Collection available and guess which sold the strongest? The new Core Collection. Logos and all. 🤍 When I first launched Amber Maxwell activewear in 2020, I deliberately didn’t want prominent logos. I wanted pieces that could move between training and everyday life, activewear for every day & every way. But the brand has evolved. And so have I. I built this chapter of Amber Maxwell from the floor of my apartment in Hamburg during lockdown, with my two cats beside me, after having to close the previous chapter of my business and start again. What started as activewear became something much bigger because of the women wearing it. Over the years, women have shared stories with me about losing their confidence, navigating difficult relationships, becoming mothers, struggling with their health or hormones, or simply trying to find the motivation to get up and start moving again. And somehow these clothes became a tiny part of their journeys. When @thedepotbondi reached out to collaborate for their #City2Surf Wellness Event, it was an easy YES from us. 🤎 So much of what The Depot has built is centred around community, bringing people together, supporting local and creating a space that feels genuinely connected to Bondi. That’s something we’re incredibly passionate about too, and it made this collaboration feel like such a natural fit.
