Last week, I had the wonderful opportunity to represent Clark Atlanta University as a third-year Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at the 2026 American Counseling Association (ACA) of Georgia Symposium, hosted at Mercer University!
I had the privilege of serving as a panelist alongside my colleagues Angelayana, Chandler, and Ishiah, three individuals I have grown alongside both personally and professionally throughout our journey as counselors-in-training. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to Angelayana’s presentation, “Who Am I? Exploring Professional Identity Among Counselors-in-Training.”

Sitting on this panel reminded me of my WHY and reaffirmed my aspirations of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). This journey has been nothing short of amazing, challenging, and eye-opening as I continue strengthening my God given gift to encourage, empower, and counsel individuals navigating life’s transitions while striving to become the best versions of themselves.

As I reflect on our discussion surrounding professional identity, I am reminded that this journey is about so much more than earning a degree or obtaining credentials. It is about the lives we will touch, the communities we will serve, the stigma we will challenge, and the spaces we will create for healing.
My goal is to continue being a vessel for healing, advocating for mental health, breaking stigmas within our communities, and reminding others that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Through faith, compassion, and clinical knowledge, I hope to support others through life’s challenges, ensuring no one feels they have to navigate their healing journey alone❤️. taken in Mercer University by @ambitiously.quinn

Year TWO as Conference Coordinator! ❤️🐾

For the second year, I’ve had the opportunity to plan and coordinate Clark Atlanta University’s Impactful Panthers Student Leadership Conference, and I’m excited for our students to experience what we have in store Sept. 14–16!

From developing the theme and campaign to identifying workshop topics, connecting with facilitators, coordinating logistics, and creating the graphics and visuals, I’ve truly enjoyed putting this experience together.

And in true HBCU campaign fashion, I enjoy a good theme and strong visuals! 😂 As a HBCU Campaign Coach and former student leader, I’m all for making leadership development fun and meeting students where they are.

This year, “The REAL Student Leaders of Clark Atlanta” puts an HBCU leadership spin on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. 🍑🎬 Whether students are already leading or still finding their roar, this experience was created with them in mind.

Every detail has a purpose. Every visual tells the story. Now it’s almost SHOWTIME! 🍑🎬🐾❤️

A Full Circle Moment 🔄✨

I am truly honored to be featured in the HBCU Times “HBCU Queens: Crowns, Culture & Leadership” 2026 Winter Issue!

Leadership has been a part of my journey long before college, but I was blessed to spend all four years of my undergraduate experience at Bethune-Cookman University serving in leadership capacities. From SGA and Royal Court to simply getting involved and making an impact within my campus community, each opportunity challenged me, developed me, and helped shape the higher education professional I am today.

Ultimately, I had the honor of serving as the 68th Miss Bethune-Cookman University, an experience that further strengthened my passion for student leadership, service, and developing others. 👑❤️💛

Today, through Impact & Empowerment, I have the privilege of pouring those experiences back into the next generation. While I specialize in coaching HBCU Queens, my work extends to student leaders across SGA, Royal Court, and pageantry, helping them develop meaningful platforms, strengthen their campaigns, discover their leadership identity, and lead with purpose.

Last week I rapped up the vision of the 1st Impactful Panthers Student Leadership Leadership Conference at Clark Atlanta University, themed A Multifaceted Panther 🐾❤️ @cau_impactfulpanthers
With 5 months of planning, over 400 student sign ups, 20+ presenters & keynote speakers, prayers, delays but no denies I’m convinced that God really don’t play about me!

I’ve been blessed to be young and working in this robust field without the higher ed credentials but with experience, knowledge, and creating ideas that will help student leaders not only flourish in their leadership roles and in their organization but, also individually in their personal lives makes me qualified serve. As a former student leader myself, you know the story I’ve done it all and I want them to encourage these young leaders that they can do it too!
We live in a world where influence and creativity is the NEW Leadership and my mission is to IMPACT and inspire this generation to lead unapologetically with all of their gifts and talents. Why box yourself into one role when God made you to stand out!?

My students are Multi-faceted and it was only one way to deliver a conference that touched on leadership and identity. This was such an amazing experience creating this conference and watching our panthers be inspired to lead✨
