So grateful to be asked to step into Australia’s first and only female prime minister @juliagillard’s shoes to sing this PHENOMENAL song by @carmiedean at the @austheatrefest Spring Gala on Monday night. A wonderful night that I had to duck out early from due to an early start the next day, but so glad to squeeze so many wonderful friends. And a massive congratulations to the incredible bad ass and force of nature that is Carmel Dean, and the other honorees!!

One of my dreams in coming to New York was to originate - be involved in the creation process of new musicals. If they could be actor-musician, even better. Some of my favourite cast recordings, the motivators for me coming here, were of Off Broadway shows. Cut to 13 years later and I’m about to originate my 2nd Off Broadway actor-musician show, back to back with Beau The Musical. To be doing this at 46 is even more of a miracle. I am so incredibly grateful for the opportunities I get to be in these rooms.

This cast is EXTRAORDINARY. This show is a dream. I am so excited to share it with you all.

An enormous thank you to @wholeartistmanagement for getting me in these rooms, and having my back at all times.

And thanks @karamikula 😉 taken in Manhattan, New York by @ameliafpcormack

Our dressing room is snug, with 5 of us sharing… Therefore when we need a pre 2nd show pump up on a 2 show day, one elder milennial and one Gen X-er/Xennial have a silent disco… This was today’s choice… taken in The Duke on 42nd Street by @ameliafpcormack

Finally got around to watching this… MY. GOD. This film is a revelation - I only wish I could have seen it as a stage play. The performances all around are INCREDIBLE. The script is lyrical and poetic and beautiful - @aleshea.harris you are a genius. @karaakter and @mallorixjohnson are astonishing - thank you for this love letter to sisters and sisterhood. I have been listening to the delicious soundtrack by @moses on repeat for months. @gee_cormack - I think you’d love this. 1 million stars. taken in Edgewater, New Jersey by @ameliafpcormack

Happy 20th Anniversary to the beautiful pink bus and show that started it all - Priscilla, Queen of the Desert The Musical, I would not be where I am without you. I am humbled and honoured to have been a small part of this international juggernaut, and so proud of what we made. You launched my career and gave me the opportunity to meet and work with absolute legends of Australian film and theatre arts. I will always be eternally grateful to Michael Caton for these glorious shots of us. I am so sad I won’t be able to celebrate with my fellow divas in a few weeks time, but I am with you all in spirit. taken in Edgewater, New Jersey by @ameliafpcormack

Second only to my Priscilla funeral peacock costume, this is my favourite costume I’ve ever worn. Her name is Aunt Lavinia and I’m in her for literally about 30 secs on stage but I LOVE HER!!!

EDIT: I lied… My Madame in the Docks in Les Mis is most definitely up there too, so top 3 😝
