I know i’m not alone in this paradox of needing to eat well to keep up with my busy life as a mum, and being too busy as a mum to eat well. So i’m coming up with some 5 minute easy recipes to help you eat right without taking up too much time. Episode of my digital diary: figuring it out

After meeting Joel travelling and spending most of my 20’s travelling I want a place to call home, but I also want to live somewhere where I love the lifestyle. The UK lifestyle has never felt right for me but I love the people and the magic of Somerset.

So instead we’re in limbo living with family and feeling like we’re not starting our own lives.

It’s a weird conundrum but it’s teaching me to take things day by day rather than planning my whole life out.

Ultra processed foods have become a bit too familiar in my weekly staples. So as a part of my journey to falling back in love with food I decided to try hand making something that I normally would get out of a packet.

A couple of weeks ago I had these amazing plant based sausages out at a dinner and I wanted to attempt my own version. The love and joy and pride I had for making them was so incredible, much more satisfying, and tasty, than my usual ultra processed sausages.

They’re really fun and easy to make and you can batch cook and freeze them so you can grab them when you’re in a hurry which is useful too.

Episode 3 of my digital diary: a love letter to my village

Having a baby is one of the loneliest feelings in the world, even though you’re never alone. It can be really isolating and exhausting and overwhelming. No matter how helpful and supportive your partner is, the stay at home parent can feel quite lonely.

So if you need a little reminder, the other mum in the coffee shop is probably just as nervous and tired as you and a smile can go a long way. You might just meet your new best friend. Putting yourself out there is so terrifying but also rewarding, and it really is so much easier parenting in a group.

Food has been my job since I was 13, that’s nearly 17 years. After cooking on social media for the past 3 years I’ve fallen out of love with it. I feel like I’m just making videos of random meals just for content, rather than for my own enjoyment.
