The 35th Annual AYC Fall Regatta has officially come to a close after two exciting weekends of racing on the Sound.

From light winds to lively competition, each day brought out the best of our sailors and showcased the spirit of camaraderie that defines our club.

A heartfelt thank you to our Race Committee, volunteers, and staff for their dedication and effort both on and off the water, your commitment makes events like this possible.

Congratulations to all the winners and top finishers from this weekend! Your skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship made for an unforgettable finale to the series.

And to every sailor who joined us this year, thank you for being part of another remarkable regatta season at the American Yacht Club.

July 12-13, American Yacht Club held the C420 Regatta Preparation and Success Clinic with coaches Ellie Sykes and Olivia Wilkins, where sailors from clubs across the region came together for a weekend filled with learning ✨Both days started with a light breeze that picked up to the 8-12 range, perfect for learning the finer points of trapezing.

Each day started with sailing instruction review for the upcoming regattas, followed by land drills for the crews and boat tuning for the skippers. On the water, the sailors worked on upwind speed, downwind gybes, and overall course management, perfect to prepare them for the summer regattas coming up!

Weekend 2 pics. Huge wind shifts yesterday as it often is from the NW-N-NE led to some really important strategic decisions. Boat speed always helps but getting on the correct side of the shifts was a lot of the racing. taken in American Yacht Club by @americanycsailing
