Most people see the success, but they don’t see the process. ⛰️

True growth isn’t the absence of fear—it’s the internal commitment to trust your training and lean into the challenge when every instinct tells you to retreat.

Success is the finish line, but the process is where the leader is built. ⚓️💪

🚨💦 Alarms blaring. Water roaring. Voices steady. The US Navy’s leak trainer turns pressure into practice and the #SeaCadets saw it up close.

Before the drills, the training, and the big moments, there’s the foundation. ⚓🇺🇸

The Recruit Handbook is one of the first resources Sea Cadets receive when they join the program - packed with the knowledge, customs, expectations, and traditions that help them find their footing and start thinking like a cadet.

And it doesn’t get left behind after Recruit Training. It’s a resource cadets can return to as they learn more, take on more responsibility, and grow through the program.

⚓️ Not a museum. Not a simulation. Just Sea Cadets stepping aboard the USS John Basilone (DDG 122)—one of the U.S. Navy’s newest active destroyers.
From touring the berthing spaces to taking the helm on the bridge and donning full firefighting gear, these cadets got a rare, firsthand look at life underway and fleet readiness. To top it off, they caught the USS Nimitz returning from a Tiger Cruise.
Experiences like this don’t just teach naval traditions—they build leadership, discipline, and respect for those who serve. by @americaseacadets

Meet Seaman Apprentice Yerra 👋
After more than three years in the program, he’s gaining hands-on leadership experience while exploring what a future in medicine—or as a Surface Warfare Officer in the Navy—could look like.
From ship tours and simulators to unforgettable moments with fellow cadets, Sea Cadets gives young people the opportunity to learn, lead, and discover where their interests can take them.
And when he’s not training? You might find him watching The Dark Knight, playing Brawl Stars, or cheering on the Marlins. ⚾

The best part of training? The people you experience it with.

💪 Cadets trained on the Navy’s Use-of-Force Continuum, learning that professionalism, communication, and sound judgment are often the most important tools. Led by former Sea Cadet and Navy Chief Rene Mendoza, experiences like these prepare tomorrow’s leaders for whatever comes next.
