Huge congratulations to Alamo Battalion’s Chief Kamren Karr on his acceptance into the Texas A&M Galveston Maritime Academy!

Kamren will be joining the prestigious Corps of Cadets, majoring in Marine Engineering Technology. With his sights set on a career as a marine engineer, he is taking the ultimate step toward his dream of designing and building the powerful engines that drive the maritime industry forward.

His dedication and leadership as a Chief Petty Officer have laid an outstanding foundation for this next chapter. We have no doubt he will excel as a Cadet and future engineer.

Fair winds and following seas, Chief Karr!

The Naval Sea Cadet Corps is a youth organization funded by the U.S. Navy that teaches youth 10-17 life skills and gives then unique opportunities many of their peers would not encounter. The young men and women of the Band Of The West Division are the only Sea Cadet band in the nation and their performance at Fleet Week was worth the wait. They are not a recruiting program, but many of their cadets do go on into all branches of the military.

Our Team fought with physicality in a Defensive fight against our Air Force teammates…it didn’t end as we expected.

Our team will continue to battle each week until the final whistle; signature Navy Football.

Great spending time with our Midshipmen on exchange at Air Force, our Spirit Team, Drum & Bugle Corps, Navy parents, and the many Navy fans who joined us at the tailgate. Always special seeing our Navy family come together on the road.

Next week, back in “The Most Patriotic Stadium in America“ 🇺🇸⚓️

Fights on! Beat Tulsa!

MISSION MONDAY | SUPPORTING THE NEXT GENERATION

One of the most important parts of our mission is investing in young people.

Across our region, the New York Council Navy League supports Young Marines in Westchester County, NJROTC programs in New York City and Long Island, and U.S. Naval Sea Cadet programs in Harlem, Staten Island and the Bronx.

And these are far more than after-school programs.

Young people gain access to experiences that build confidence, discipline, leadership and a commitment to service.

• Aviation and flight training
• Sailing and small boat operations
• Submarine and shipboard experiences
• STEM, robotics and drones
• Medical and culinary training
• Leadership academies
• Community service and ceremonial events
• Maritime and military training opportunities

These programs give young people the chance to learn, lead, serve and discover what they are capable of.

This is our SUPPORT mission in action.

JOIN us.
DONATE to help expand these opportunities.
SUPPORT the next generation of leaders.

🌧️🐄 Even in rain, vendors showed up for Cow Harbor Day!

Local businesses, and organizations filled Northport Village Park for Cow Harbor Day.

A huge thank you to everyone who braved the rain, supported local, visited the vendors, and helped keep the Cow Harbor Day spirit going strong. 🐄

⚓ Another great drill day for NCBC/TS Walter Boll!
Our cadets got an up-close look at some of the less-lethal equipment used by the RING, with demonstrations and explanations from those who train with it. We also went back to basics, sharpening military courtesies, commands, and bearing.
A definite highlight — watching the Black Hawks take off and land! 🚁 We rounded out the day with some fun PT and a team-building challenge that put communication and teamwork to the test.
⚓ Learn. Lead. Work as a team. 🇺🇸
