meowleans!
i feel so grateful and blessed that i was able to spend a week in such a vibrant, welcoming, and beautiful city. i never once felt like an outsider in a city i had never been to before. the locals were so friendly and willing to share what they could; a smile and “good morning!”, pull up an extra chair and share a cigarette, share their lives and experiences with me and their connection to this truly magical city.
the architecture !!!!! yall already know. blew my mind how beautiful these houses were in the quarter and the garden district. so unique and colorful! (could not stop thinking ab american horror story:coven lol)
the food 😭 lots of fried green tomatoes, gumbo, gulf oysters - found a teeny pearl in one of my grilled oysters ☺️
took a little swamp tour!! saw some gators and walked around Jean-Lafitte park in the bayou.
the tree of life!! i could go on about how stunning these ancient live oak trees are, but ill let the pictures do the talking.
and ofc had to check out the scene in the crescent city so went to a monty and kll smth show!
thankful for all the sweet folks i met along the way :) taken in French Quarter, New Orleans Lousiana by @amethyst.cloudd
