How serendipitous that he played this song the day I made a trip to say hello to some of Florida’s last remaining sand dunes, in their natural state, before development destroyed them to build hotels and condos. These majestic barriers provide good ole Earth-engineered coastline defense from storms, as well as habitat for many keystone species in Florida.

🌸The hourglass is growing empty now just to leave a pile of sand.

After one of his shows, a friend was complaining how her school is mandating that its teachers not teach about human-induced climate change in the classroom.

🌸Our heads are buried in the sand, our leaders dug the holes. How could someone get so low in a building so damn tall? How long until there’s nothin left at all?

A society that values dollars over truth is ill. We need healing that starts at the core. May we find the medicine we need through music, through friends, through our inner silly geese, through love. ✌️❤️🪿🐐🪕
