As I was picking beets this morning, I came across this beautiful little white onion !!!

seeing it tucked in among the beets, just happily growing away, no GAF that it was in amongst the beets, brought me so much joy!

Be the onion in the beet patch, today and always!!

🍄‍🟫many people in Canada are a-scared to touch mushrooms.

….but many other cultures do not have this fear, for example China and parts of eastern europe.

….and once you start Getting curious,
Suddenly you’re spending 10 hours in the forest hunting shaggy manes.

🍄💙on this day we made soup and it was wonderful with a grey tinted colour!

…in the age of endless fake crap online… forests are the best way to quick dopamine. 🌲🍄#mushrooms #mycology #albertamushrooms #shaggymanes #forests @albertamycologicalsociety

Performer of the year. @yycmusicawards
a surreal moment for local metal.

For an original metal band with a 13-year-old fronting, this is meaningful

This award means so much to us and our metal community.

Being presented with it by Calgary Mayor Jeremy Farkas was unforgettable. @jeromyyyc

We’re honoured

Thank you to everyone who has supported us and believed in us despite age, genre, race or odds.

Metal is for everyone. 🖤🤘

crunching, hollow footsteps, light thumps, dribbles and drops, and running water

Just thought i’d share, because it makes me happy and tingly. maybe it will make you happy too.

it’s not all growling, heavy riffs and shrieks around here, you know. 😝

latest Dare to Suck adventure: Civil War - @gunsnroses .

Featuring Ray’s whistling (ray was not impressed by the noise; we are annoying & he was playing a board game called ROOT!). @theowill2.0

💙If you don’t like AI, just don’t use it… I DO NOT use it for my creative work, and neither does my son. I *currently* feel like it hinders creativity & quite enjoy finding new visual artists to work with.

… I remember that when photography arrived, (1800s) people thought painting was OVER! (portraits were THE thing back then….)
Turns out photography led to DOPE new WEIRD art! modern art! my favourite art!!

✨spend energy CREATING things only you can make.
▪️let the AI users make their things without shame…
🌠mind your energy toward them.
…and eventually new creative things will come.

Alberta coal

I still remember Eric’s first day at a local coal mine. He was all excited because they literally “moved a mountain.” Blew the top right off it!! Then came selenium pollution and all the other fun facts 💀.

Not really my business, right? Maybe. But as I get older, I care more about showing my kids when it’s time to actually give a bleep.

I didn’t really feel strongly about this at first; i just wanted to have an opinion. But the more I learned, the more this whole thing felt shady AF — billionaire Australian coal developers, AB government skirting regulations.

it is easy to sign this citizens’ petition, so why not? and it is backed by a baddy musician @corblund @waternotcoalab

here’s us at a signing and show @cold_garden
