Attention is an asset, and the more you build, the more expensive it gets.

These days I skip most arguments I used to jump into. Not because I don't care, but because being right rarely pays anything back.

Some disagreements just aren't worth the withdrawal. by @amirsyed

We immigrated to the United States from Iran in 1985.

My mom was an admired school teacher back home — here, she couldn’t even get a job at McDonald’s.

My dad left the company he owned and sold shoes for $3.75 an hour here to keep us going.

We lived in a small 1-bedroom apartment.

Today, life is grand for all three of us, and not a week goes by that we don’t say how grateful we are to this country for taking us in.

If you work hard and do good, this country rewards you — regardless of your race, sex, or creed.

I watched my parents start over with nothing but work ethic and faith.

No shortcuts. No excuses. No entitlement.

America didn’t owe us anything.

She just gave us a shot. And we took it.

Forever grateful. 🇺🇸 by @amirsyed

One of the biggest mistakes entrepreneurs make is spending their time on tasks they could pay someone else to do.

@danmartell wrote an amazing book called Buy Back Your Time, where he breaks down the concept of your buyback rate and how to use it to decide what you should delegate.

I highly recommend every entrepreneur read it. by @amirsyed
