⁨ يقدّم خالد البشير، قيّم البرامج في أسبوع عمّان للتصميم 2026، برامج هذا العام كمداخل إلى العوالم الكامنة وراء الأشياء من حولنا، متتبّعاً القرارات والمعارف المتوارثة والمواد والممارسات التي تراكمت وتشكّلت مع مرور الزمن.

تنقسم البرامج إلى ثلاثة محاور رئيسية: الخزائن، والنظم، والصنائع، وتمتد من الذاكرة والأرشيف إلى الخرائط والتخطيط، ومن الحِرف التقليدية إلى عوالم الكود والذكاء الاصطناعي.

صُممت البرامج للمصممين وغير المصممين على حد سواء، لتبدأ من تفصيلة أو سؤال صغير، وتفتح من خلاله أبواباً على عوالم أكبر بكثير.

Khaled Al-Bashir, Programs Curator for Amman Design Week 2026, introduces this year’s programs as entry points into the worlds behind the things around us, tracing the decisions, inherited knowledge, materials, and practices that have accumulated over time.

Organized around three themes, Repositories, Systems, and Practices, the program moves from memory and archives to mapping and planning, and from traditional crafts to code and artificial intelligence.

Designed for designers and non-designers alike, the programs invite us to start with a detail, follow the questions it raises, and uncover the much larger worlds behind it.

على مدى 16 يوماً، تتحول عمّان وما حولها إلى مساحة تمتد فيها المعارض، والبرامج، والحوارات، والعروض، وأماكن تنتظر أن تكتشفوها.
قبل أن تنطلقوا:
→ استكشفوا البرنامج
→ تفقّدوا المواقع وساعات العمل
→ سجّلوا في الفعاليات ذات السعة المحدودة
→ احفظوا الخريطة
→ ارتدوا أحذية مناسبة للتجوّل

⁨ يقدّم فيصل طبّارة، قيّم المعارض في أسبوع عمّان للتصميم 2026، معارض هذا العام من خلال ثيمة «تراكمات»، مستكشفاً كيف تتداخل ممارساتنا اليومية وبيئتنا المادية وذاكرتنا الثقافية لتشكّل ممارسات التصميم في المنطقة.

من فضاءات المعارض إلى التدخلات الممتدة في أنحاء المدينة، تدعونا المشاريع إلى التفكير بالتصميم كممارسة متجذّرة في المكان، تتشكّل مع مرور الزمن، وتصبح جزءاً من علاقتنا بالمدينة وما يحيط بنا.

تراكمات مُسْنَدَة
ستوديو إيست لِلعِمارة

عمّان مدينة عاشت طويلًا مع شحّ المياه، وارتبطت أسطح بيوتها بجمعها وتخزينها. يستعيد “تراكمات مُسْنَدَة” هذه العلاقة في دارة أبو عدنان، حيث تجمع الأسطح مياه الأمطار وتوجّهها إلى الصهاريج ثم عبر الواجهة والفراغات الداخلية، ليصبح البيت مكانًا يحفظ الذاكرة والماء معًا.

Bracing Accumulations
EAST Architecture Studio

Amman’s long history of water scarcity and rooftop infrastructure grounds Bracing Accumulations, which reimagines Dar Abu Adnan as a system for collecting and redistributing water. An inhabitable roofscape gathers seasonal rainfall, cycling it through cisterns, façade, and interior, turning the house into both a repository of memory and an instrument that accumulates and redistributes water.

بتيسير من دافينا عطاالله، دعت هذه الورشة المشاركين إلى استعادة ذكريات ألعاب طفولتهم والتأمل في الأفكار التي تحملها حول الهوية والتعلّم واللعب. ومن خلال الحوار وتحليل الألعاب وأنشطة الصنع، استكشف المشاركون الافتراضات الكامنة في تصميم ألعاب الأطفال وإمكانيات إعادة تخيّلها.

Inside the Toy Box | Workshop

Led by Davina Atallah, this workshop invited participants to revisit their childhood toys and reflect on the ideas they carry about identity, learning, and play. Through discussion, toy analysis, and hands-on making, participants explored the assumptions embedded in toy design and the possibilities of reimagining familiar objects.

من طين - شيراز خطاب ومنى حاج يحيى

ينطلق هذا المشروع البحثي من التربة والطين باعتبارهما شاهدين على العلاقة المستمرة بين الأرض، والمادة، والممارسات اليومية، عبر العناصر العضوية المرتبطة بكل موقع. ويستخدم مواد عضوية من البيئة الزراعية في أريحا، مثل قشور التمر ونواه وبقايا النخيل، تُجفف وتُطحن، ثم تُخلط بالتربة والطين لاختبار تماسكها وملمسها، ثم تُترك تحت تأثير الشمس والهواء والرطوبة لتتغيّر طبيعيًا مع الوقت.

We Begin with the Land
Customud - Shiraz Khattab & Muna Haj Yahya

This research-based project treats soil and mud as living records shaped by ongoing interaction between people and place. Using organic matter from Jericho’s agricultural landscape, date peels, pits, and palm residues, mixed with soil and mud, are tested for cohesion and texture, then exposed to sunlight, air, and moisture to evolve.

بتيسير من رشا الدقاق من منصة بين للممارسات النشرية، استكشفت هذه الورشة دور الصور في تشكيل فهمنا للعالم وتأثيرها في المجال العام. ومن خلال العمل على الصور والنصوص ومواد من الحياة اليومية، تأمل المشاركون في كيفية إنتاج الصور للمعنى، واكتسابها للقوة، واستمرار أثرها إلى ما بعد لحظة رؤيتها.

Bayn Madrastayn: Who Taught Us How to See? | Workshop

Led by Rasha Dakkak of Bayn Publishing, this workshop explored how images shape our understanding of the world and influence public life. Working with visual, textual, and everyday materials, participants examined how images produce meaning, gather power, and continue to shape our perceptions beyond the moment of looking.

تشبيك هو تركيب معماري موقعي يستكشف التراكم من خلال استعادة تقنية العقود الخفيفة bóvedas tabicadas في المنطقة العربية وإعادة بنائها باستخدام الحجر المحلي. يجمع المشروع بين عودة مادية وعودة لغوية، ويحوّل الساحة إلى ورشة مفتوحة من عقود حجرية متكررة تؤدي وظائف متعددة كمقاعد ومنصة وعناصر احتواء، كاشفًا عن عمارة في طور التشكّل.

Tašbik is a site-specific architectural installation exploring accumulation through the return of bóvedas tabicadas to the Arab region, reconstructed using local stone. Bringing together a material and etymological return, the project transforms the courtyard into an open workshop of repeated stone vaults that function as seating, a stage, and enclosing elements, revealing architecture in the process of becoming.

بعل وشمس | تقديم طعام

بتيسير من نهله الطبّاع وبدعم من ناديا زيادات، استكشفت هذه التجربة أثر الشمس وبعل في المشهد الغذائي الأردني، مستلهمةً من الأساطير الكنعانية والموروث الشعبي، ومتتبعةً طرق حفظ الطعام وتجفيفه وتحويل مكوّناته عبر الفصول.

Baal and Shams | Edible Presentation

Led by Nahla Tabbaa with the support of Nadya Ziadat, this edible presentation explored the influence of the sun and Baal on Jordan’s food landscape. Drawing on Canaanite mythology and regional folklore, the experience traced seasonal transformations through food preservation, drying, rehydration, and preparation.

افتتح هذا الحوار أسبوع عمّان للتصميم 2026 بكلمة من مديري الأسبوع، بشر الطباع وسارة حجازين، تلاها حوار بين فيصل طبارة وخالد البشير حول المعاني المتعددة لموضوع «تراكمات». وتناول الحوار كيف يمكن فهم التراكمات في ظل الظروف الراهنة، وتأثيرها في تشكيل ممارسات التصميم، ودورها في طرح الأسئلة وفتح النقاشات التي امتدت على مدار الأسبوع.

How Do We Approach Accumulations? | Conversations in the Center

Amman Design Week 2026 opened with introductory remarks by Co-Directors Bisher Tabbaa and Sarah Hejazin, followed by a curatorial conversation between Faysal Tabbarah and Khaled Al-Bashir exploring the many meanings of the theme Accumulations. The discussion reflected on how accumulations can be understood in the present context, the forces shaping design practices, and the questions and conversations that unfolded throughout the week.

الواحات

يتتبّع «سياج بري» انتشار الحشرة القرمزية الكاذبة التي قضت على مساحات واسعة من نبات الصبر في فلسطين في السنوات الأخيرة. من خلال ممارسات النسيج والصباغة والطباعة، يستخدم العمل الصبغة المستخلصة من الحشرة لتتبع الرحلة الاستعمارية لكلا النوعين من المكسيك إلى فلسطين، وربط الأساطير والطقوس عبر هاتين الجغرافيتين.

Wild Hedges
Al-Wah’at Collective

Wild Hedges traces the recent spread of false-carmine cochineal, an insect destroying large swaths of the prickly pear cactus in Palestine. Through weaving, dyeing, and printing, the project draws on traditions around Sufi shrines and sacred trees in Ein Qiniya, using insect-derived red pigment to examine the colonial journey of both species from Mexico to Palestine, and connect myths and rituals across these geographies.
