💀Book Review🐰 ⭐️4.5 🌶️ 🫣 “You’re where my sanity starts.” I can hear the smile in his voice. “You are where mine ends.” Read this like NOW (but check the trigger warnings BEFORE you do). I’m obsessed and my CIA/black ops loving heart thoroughly enjoyed this book! It was dark, gritty, unhinged, and so raw that I can’t stop thinking about it and now I need to rewatch some on my favorite military shows/movies. Private Gallows aka Bunny was a total bad ass and is the definition of GI Jane / Black Widow. She went toe to toe with everyone in this book, especially Bones. I’m obsessed with her and how powerful her character was. Bradshaw Bright aka Bones…. I have no words. He was lethal, a monster, and the things he put Bunny through was INSANE! The plot: 10/10 The main characters : 10/10 The side characters: 10/10 The romance: 10/10 The ending: 6/10 but I didn’t really care because that last mission wrecked me. “Do not cry for me, love. 🦋Heartless Hunter🩸 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.25 Omg…. I am broken! Did I finish this book or did it finish me? I am sobbing. Why does YA romance always break my heart? This ending has me tore up in the worse way possible. I struggled to get into this book at first because, as you guys know, I’m just not a fan of 3rd person even though it was dual POV. I will say though once I got past a few chapters, I could not put this book down at all! The story line is 10/10 and I am already running, scattering for the next book. Rune baby idk how I feel about you just yet! Throughout this book you made me proud at how cunning you were but there were also times I wanted to shake you….like what are you doing…… Gideon, I fucking hate you and love you at the same time. You made me blush so much I felt 13 and seen and ready to scream 😂. All I can say is I am Team Alex for life IDC. The good ones need to win sometimes and he will always win in my heart - ugh I love you boo 🥹 Overall, I would definitely re-read this and highly recommend for those who love YA Fantasy Romance. 🪝Hooked by Emily McIntire ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️ I’ve been all about retellings lately and this one did not disappoint! It had a great plot that blurred the lines between love and revenge with some suspenseful twists. Although I didn’t guess all of the twists, I was glad I was right about some even though now I’m questioning everyone’s relationships 😭. The chemistry between the MCs was absolutely perfect and gave me what I needed as a dark romance lover. I’m always a-little put off by insta lust/love but I think it was done well here capturing “Hook’s” bad boy lure and enticing you in just as he did with Wendy. Overall, Hooked was a thrilling, sensual read and would recommend if you like dark romance that transforms classic stories 🪝 by @amomsquietcorner

“The road to Hell is paved with Good Intentions… Who knew it would ever come true?” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Oh hell YES! I thoroughly enjoyed this book, so much so, I will be continuing the series. This definitely gave a blend of paranormal romance and dystopian suspense. I absolutely loved the world-building. It was so vivid and immersed you into the past, present, and possible future lives of everyone. Although the start was kind of slow, the plot definitely becomes action packed with tensions and stakes building to the point where you have to keep on reading. My only complaint is that although the romance is central (was definitely more slow burn LUST 😅 with a side of feral “mates“ ) it definitely overshadowed the broader conflicts and world building at times. I would have like some things to have transpired in book 2 so that it built more desire and suspense. Overall though, read this please because the story delivers an addictive mix of passion and action. I really did enjoy it and can’t wait to move on to book two. by @amomsquietcorner

🧌 Book Review🗻 ⭐️: 4 👹: 5 Wow! This was my first true horror and it did not disappoint. The name of the book is exactly what I did throughout this read.. shuddered… at the gore, fear, and anguish you feel for everything that transpires. What I liked most about this book was the setting & the creatures. The snow-covered wilderness and the claustrophobic isolation of the cabin intensified the tension, making you feel as trapped as the characters. What I didn’t like about this read was that it was 3rd POV The last 30% had me ready to scream, cry, vomit idk lmao. Overall though, it was a great read and something you would find on a network like FX/ SYFY/AMC. ⛓️ Book Review 🩸 ⭐️: 3.75 🔪(gore): 3 but depends on your tolerance. 25 Days” by Per Jacobsen is a gripping psychological horror novel structured as an advent calendar, with 25 chapters meant to be read one day at a time leading up to Christmas. The story follows Adam Gray and his family’s holiday retreat to a remote cabin, the plot unfolds each day, one disturbing gift at a time; pulling the family into a sinister and deadly game. I found that the suspense of what was to come made me want to keep reading rather than just one day at a time. While the concept and pacing are thrilling, the book does fall short by leaving several plot points unresolved, especially the ending, which was disappointing. Overall, 25 Days was a pretty cool read. It was suspenseful and drew you into each day / character. 🎄A Christmas Novella 🎁 ⭐️: 5 🌶️: 5 Omgg Sheridan Anne did not come to play with this one. I absolutely loved everything about this novella. It was short, funny, and spicy as hell 🥵! This may be my favorite of the holiday season so far. The story centers around a woman who encounters a magnetic “Santa” figure over the years who turns out to be far more dangerous and enticing than anyone she’s met before. Their interaction spirals into an intense, forbidden romance filled with steamy wishes and suspenseful twists. Mila was so funny, I could not stop giggling at her commentary and Nick was the sexiest Santa who fulfilled ALL of her Christmas wishes . 🪨 Book 🔖 Review ✂️ ⭐️: 4.25 Wow! My mind is blown 🤯 When I tell you I was NOT expecting any of the reveals, like I’m still trying to wrap my head around the ending. The entire novel kept me guessing start to finish and I was so wrong the entire time.😅 Alice Feeney delivered a masterfully crated tale of deceit, secrets, and complex human relationships that will not only have you saying “wtf” 90% of the time but also highlighting almost every line. Each chapter alternates between multiple perspectives, with interspersed letters written by Adam’s wife, offering insight into their marriage and its fractures. What I loved most about this novel was how chilling but relatable it was. The eerie setting had me on edge, waiting for someone to pop out like in horror movies lol. The dialog and emotions described throughout the book will resonate with anyone who’s been in a long term relationship or married (if you read the book you know both were speaking FACTS!!!). The twists were CRAZY, but that final reveal… WOW Overall, I liked this book so much. It had me on the edge of my seat with jaw dropping twists and turns. Book Review🔪🩸 ⭐️: 4 🌶️: 😳 Note: this was pitch black so please thoroughly read the trigger warnings 😅. I have no words, like I’m speechless at what I just read but if I had to describe it (excuse my language): HOLY FUCKING SHIT! This book was beyond dark, twisted, and demented. If Jekyll & Hyde had a baby with Kevin from Split, it would make Kris Kincaid 😩. I know it’s a novella but I loved the entire concept of the story and wish it was a full book because I absolutely want more. I think the only downside to these short reads, for me at least, is how everything escalates so quickly. The spice was hardcore and I would have loved more suspenseful scenes to add to the horror show that is this book haha. The ending… damn is all I can say 😞. 🩸🧛🏽‍♂️Book Review 🩸🏰 ⭐️: 4.5 🌶️: 🩸 This was so good because not only does “Dracula” gaslight his lovers but also you as a reader. My brain isn’t functioning right after this one 😭. I still have chills from the audiobook and Constanta’s words are beyond haunting yet liberating. “It was never my intention to murder you… not in the beginning, anyway” One of the novel’s standout features is how sensuality and dread are woven together into every sentence. The result is an atmospheric narrative that immerses you in the rich, yet suffocating, world of Dracula’s domain. The novel is less about vampires and more about the dynamics of power and abuse. Dracula’s love is suffocating, manipulative, and possessive, and the novel explores the cost of enduring such a relationship. If you are looking for a more traditional, plot driven vampire story, this one is not it. I did, however, want Constanta to give more descriptions about his brutal love but honestly if she did I’m sure we would have been gaslit even further by said “Dracula”. “Love makes monsters of us, Constanta, and not everyone is cut out for the monstrosity”.
