“Good trouble + Good birding = Freedom Birders.” We need your support to create and travel on the first-ever "Freedom Birders Trail," which follows an inspired route of the Freedom Riders. This journey will connect the historic movement of people, the observation of wildlife, and the ongoing story of the land, starting in Washington, D.C., and finishing in New Orleans. Your donations will make this project a reality. Donations will go directly towards funding the trip and sustaining the project. Please enjoy the new graphics as well! Just Birding - a poem from us!

Birding for Justice and Freedom is our purpose and would be so thrilled if you could help us spread our message by sharing this post and Just Bird!

Just Birding poem:

It's not just birding
It's just birding
To be a just birder
Adjust the way you bird
To bird with cause
Is a just way to bird
When we're birding
It's just us
Just grow
Just go
Just bird
So why just bird
When you can just bird
Just bird by @amplify_future

We are excited to share the final results of NJ Audubon's World Series of Birding in May, as well as some of our team's bird photos from their all-day birding effort. Our final count was 120 species, and we have a great team photo with supporting views of a Common Yellowthroat, Lesser Yellowlegs, and an Osprey!

Please help thank the team who participated in this friendly birding competition to demonstrate our commitment to B.I.R.D. in action - meaning we are Beginner-minded, Inclusive, Recognizers, and Deliberate.

If you would like to support our growth, please check the link in our bio to donate. We are raising money to embark on an inspired journey of the Freedom Riders, starting in Washington, D.C. and ending in New Orleans, where we will see historic places that connect people, wildlife, and land all along the way.

Thank you! #JUSTbirding by @amplify_future

Organized by @njaudubon, the World Series of Birding is a fundraising platform and event where birding teams bird all day in New Jersey on Saturday, May 13th. Every dime we raise amplifies the future of the Freedom Birders project and brings us one day closer to funding a Freedom Birders Trip, which will follow an inspired route taken by the Freedom Riders from Washington, D.C. to New Orleans!

Please follow the link in our bio to support. Our fundraising goal is $3,000

Although some folks consider this as a birding "competition" we remain grounded in our values to have fun and JUST B.I.R.D.
