Our Casacade Lamp produced in partnership with @biofilia.material for @heimtextilcol which was exhibited at their fair in Medellín.

Cascade features a beautiful biomaterial “Tono en Polvo” with a cascade of light falling down and passing through the material.

We’re excited to announce a collaboration with the University of Medellín’s Biofilia Materials Lab, working with their newly developed biomaterial, Tona en Polvo, to create our latest linear chandelier: Cascade.
Inspired by trailing plants suspended from a planter, Cascade drapes a biomaterial curtain that plays with translucency and shading across an irregular, organic surface. The material itself, Tona en Polvo, was developed by Pablo Duque and Mauricio Vásquez Rendón from cactus, resulting in a bespoke material where no two sheets are alike.
Cascade will be on display at Heimtextil Colombia 2026, running April 28th through 30th at the Plaza Mayor in Medellín. We hope to see you there.

Nos complace anunciar una colaboración con el Laboratorio de Materiales Biofilia de la Universidad de Medellín, trabajando con su biomaterial de reciente desarrollo, Tona en Polvo, para crear nuestra nueva luminaria lineal: Cascade.
Inspirada en plantas colgantes suspendidas de una jardinera, Cascade drapa una cortina de biomaterial que juega con la translucidez y el sombreado a través de una superficie orgánica e irregular. El material, Tona en Polvo, fue desarrollado por Pablo Duque y Mauricio Vásquez Rendón a partir de cactus, dando como resultado un material único en el que no hay dos láminas iguales.
Cascade estará en exhibición en Heimtextil Colombia 2026, del 28 al 30 de abril en la Plaza Mayor de Medellín. Esperamos verte por allí.

Rising costs. Tariffs. Long lead times. 12-hour time differences.

Manufacturing in Asia isn’t as frictionless as it once was.

Have you considered Latin America?

Countries like Colombia and Argentina have deep industrial capacity, skilled labor, and decades of manufacturing knowledge across plastics, metalworking, woodworking, textiles, and more. Pricing and quality can rival — and often exceed — Asian production, with shorter shipping routes and real-time collaboration in North American time zones.

So why isn’t everyone manufacturing there?

Many of these factories are focused on domestic markets. They may lack English fluency, export experience, or a clear digital presence. The capability exists — the bridge does not.

That’s where Amunì comes in.

We act as your on-the-ground liaison in Latin America — identifying trusted manufacturers and craftspeople, overseeing communication, aligning quality standards, and managing production from prototype to full-scale runs.

That’s a wrap!

It has certainly been one of the most enriching (and random) moments for Amunì thus far to travel 12,000km to a world apart, build something there, and show it to the public.

What I’d found were amazingly warm and welcoming people, an incredibly resilient community, and another source of inspiration for us. Lebanon has some incredible talent in both ideas and craftsmanship, despite layers upon layers of hardships throughout history. I’ve heard the Lebanese describe themselves as a phoenix and the size and scale of We Design Beirut is a testament to the people’s endurance.

We hope to continue fabricating in Lebanon and deepening ties with the community in the future.

We’re excited to finally show off Levo, a funky entryway bench that helps users in sitting down and standing up. Assistive design doesn’t have to be neither sterile nor boring, and we love the pop of color from the fabric by @skaffgroup

This was our first venture manufacturing in Lebanon, and we could not be happier with the result.

Levo will be featured this week at @wedesignbeirut in the ‘Rising with Purpose’ Exhibition from 5-11pm at the Union Building. Come check it out!
