Introducing the 1st Attendant to Miss ASA, Miatta Harris! ✨

Miatta is a Junior Political Science major with a Sociology minor and Pre-Law concentration at Spelman College, with aspirations of pursuing a career in law and public service. A proud Gio girl, hailing from Liberia 🇱🇷 , Miatta carries a deep connection to her heritage and a strong desire to contribute to the continued growth and development of her country and communities.

Her platform, LAW & Order, focuses on restoring balance and structure within African Diasporic communities. LAW represents Leadership, Advancement, and Wisdom, encouraging us to lead by example, uplift our communities through education, and understand our history so we can create meaningful change. Order represents the balance and structure needed to turn those efforts into lasting impact.

Through her role, Miatta hopes to empower her peers, promote civic and political education, and inspire young people to recognize their ability to lead and create change within their communities. Ultimately, she hopes to use her education, leadership, and future career in law and public service to create meaningful change not only in her community, but in Liberia as well. 🤍 by @amusemia

I am still in awe… feeling so fearfully and wonderfully made. I thank God for His divine favor and covering over my life since the very beginning.

Preparing for this pageant has truly been the highlight of my year so far. It has stretched me, shaped me, and revealed parts of myself I had yet to discover. I poured my heart into this and I feel so incredibly blessed to see it all come to fruition.

It is an honor beyond words to represent my country, Liberia, with such pride. I carry it with me in everything I do.

To my family, friends, Bonner siblings, and support system, thank you for showing up and showing out for me in every way. To my parents, and especially my mommy, thank you for standing beside me from the beginning. Even in moments when it all felt too heavy, you never let me carry it alone. You wiped my tears after long days and reminded me of who I am when I needed it most. And Kwame, thank you for being my strength when I struggled to find my own. Your support means everything to me. I love you all more deeply than words could ever capture.

To my pageant directors, thank you for pouring into me and believing in me from the very beginning. Thank you for pushing me, guiding me, and constantly encouraging me to rise to every moment. Your dedication to us is so appreciated , and I am so grateful for each of you.

To my pageant siblings… I genuinely love you all. We built a family that will last beyond the stage. You inspire me to grow, to be better, and to keep striving. I am so proud to be your 5.

And to my Sister Queens and the New Umoja Empire, I am so excited to serve alongside each and every one of you. You are all incredibly gifted and I already know we are going to be a court for the books.

With so much love,
