Kiri 🌻

Earlier this year I had the privilege to work as the makeup and hair designer on Kiri, a new and exciting micro drama by @awafilms

Shot entirely in vertical format for the phone and only 2-3 minute episodes, this format still manages to convey a supernatural, dark & compelling drama.

Behind the scenes there was nothing but heart, camaraderie, and sheer talent. The cast were phenomenal, the crew was awesome and I personally loved being immersed in Te Reo for a week.

Big ups to my sidekick and friend Hayley Ness @hayleynessonfire she took full control of Kiri’s character, makeup journey and the continuity all round - thank you!

‘Nothing hotter than a trainspotter’ was our inspiration for this campaign for Kiwirail and Track Safe Foundation. This was a fun shoot but with a serious message underpinning all the style - when you’re crossing a track in New Zealand it always pays to slow down and look both ways.
Take your time out their friends.

We’re on the cusp of Spring but it’s still pretty chilly in the capital. This was a lovely mother / daughter shoot for Queensgate and Olivia Melhop 📸 worked with the wind like a pro, making it look like a crisp sunny winter’s day.

Supercool visuals and vibes for this Dreamgirls Art Collective & Pandora Matariki charm collaboration.

Dreamgirls are a super talented art trio based in Te Whanaganui-a-Tara and surrounds, consisting of Miriama Grace-Smith, Xoë Hall & Gina Kiel. Lucky for us Wellingtonians their work gives gravitas, colour and feminine energy on many buildings around town.

On a personal note, when talent turns up with their own wig and wants to go ‘big; I say, ‘Oh Yes!’
The talented Hayley Ness and I braided, coloured, curled and preened these babes into these power images.

I nearly lost a Pandora charm on the street but miraculously found it again, Wellington giving back.

Hope for every.day clean beauty.

In the spirit of a minimal look, I gently enhanced Hope’s skin with Ere Perez Oatmilk Foundation & Ere Perez Carrot Colour Pot in Harmony - the perfect barely there pink.

I left her brow natural and her eyes with a touch of Stone liner also by Ere Perez and Aleph mascara.

So often we think we don’t have time for makeup in our lives but I can offer an achievable and personalised 5 minute routine with products that are kind.

Don’t be mistaken, whilst I do a lot of natural makeup, I am always here for an OTT look too! More of that coming soon.

Looking fresh and glowing with a minimal makeup look. Continuing the theme of natural looking beauty, all products used are clean options available at @every.day__cleanbeauty

Ere Perez Oatmilk foundation & Falling Star Highlighter are the glow heroes here.
Aleph’s ‘Grounded’ is always the perfect, nearly-there for blush & shaping.
I used Henné organics V2 lipbalm on Allesandra’s lips and her eyes have a touch of shadow, liner and a flick of mascara.

Babette for every.day clean beauty @every.day__cleanbeauty

This was a fun and interesting experience putting together my own shoot! Usually I’m translating someone else’s’ vision into creative reality.

My objective was to create fresh looking, everyday skin to reflect what most of my customers want -skin that looks natural but has the benefit of being enhanced with clean beauty products.

It’s always a pleasure to work with Olivia Melhop @oliviamelhopphoto behind the lens and will cherish these moments and photos with my Mum @babe.ette by @amy.mc.makeup

Working with NZ icon, Rachel Hunter was a pinch me moment and gave me a glimpse into what makes a ‘super model’ so sensational.

Rachel’s energy, litheness, beauty, exuberance and self possession were just a few of her super model qualities that shone through.
