Confession time.
An area of my photography practice that I'm consciously trying to push myself to improve & get more confident in is solo portraits. Most of my clients describe themselves as camera shy, and I become very aware of how much more uncomfortable people get when they are the only subject in front of the lens. I think I might also be bringing my own baggage about being photographed into it as well, and I've been pushing myself to get more comfortable in front of the lens also. For me it's finding the balance of making you feel good about yourself, less awkward, not overly posing you, giving you an easy direction or something to do. And not spending too long on it.
I've had lots of requests for hot solo portraits this season and I'm excited for it!

Behind the scenes of the photoshoot for Frederick Ashton’s BIRTHDAY OFFERING, featured in our upcoming Winter Season in association with Viking! ❄️

The dancers are hard at work in the studio preparing this exciting triple bill for our audiences. Each of the three pieces possesses its own unique style, which is one of the major reasons why a mixed program is such a great introduction to the ballet - there’s sure to be something for everyone!

Performances run from July 16 to August 1.
