Tennis has been a family experience, for Siena with her teammates and for us. Having spent a few seasons as tennis mom, I was in details up to my eyeballs that I had no idea needed to be dealt with but also thankful to be so tied into what our daughter was doing. Tennis has a lovely tradition of taking those responsibilities off the plates of senior parents … no team mom, no committees, no “all the things” … just senior parent and it has been truly lovely. Last week, we got to celebrate our senior during her recognition on the court prior to the match and then afterwards at the senior party. I’m so thankful for all of the parents who poured into making that a special night and allowing us to sit back and soak it all in. I was touched by the number of times each senior commented on how this tennis team has been a different experience for them whether playing their whole lives or converting from another sport during high school, they all spoke of each other as family.
Congrats to @sienalister for completing 4 years of high school tennis. I have loved watching tennis for years and have been a fan of many athletes, but you’ll always be my #1 favorite tennis player of all time. Love you! by @amy.n.friddle

Last night we attended Avon High School’s banquet to celebrate the Top 25 Students for the Class of 2026. Along with celebrating the students, each of them then recognized two teachers, coaches, or other staff members who impacted their K-12 experience. Such a wonderful evening and so fun to see faces that have been present during various phases … past sports teams, groups, clubs, classes, etc.

These last few weeks of school are flying by, so really enjoyed a few hours of just slowing down and taking it all in.

Congrats to @sienalister and the other seniors for all of the years of hard work and dedication to their studies. taken in CRG Event Center by @amy.n.friddle

“This lady is 18. Happy Birthday, Siena!”

Not sure of which senior Sunday this is because keeping track seems to have made it go too fast, just like the past 18 years. So celebrating you @sienalister for today, the days in the past and the days yet to come. Love you so much! by @amy.n.friddle
