When I was seven, I had a pretty big bike crash. I was scraped, bloodied, and bruised. My dad made me get right back on my bike. He explained if I didn't do it right away, I was more likely to let my fear prevent me from biking again.

Today, my bench gave out while beginning my chest presses. (Totally my fault for not securing the incline properly). Not gonna lie: it hurt. It shook me.

I didn't finish the workout right away. I iced my hand that got smashed between the dumbbell and barbell. Then I had to go to work.

But...after work I went back to my basement workout space and tried again. I made dang sure the bench was secure. I lifted a little lighter for the first set to check my form and grip strength. And then I completed my regularly scheduled workout.

What fear is holding you back? What is the first step you need to take to face and overcome it?

Don’t be scared…

For the love of dates!

Full transparency....I used to detest dates. I couldn’t stand them. I think it was a consistency thing. Truth is, I never even tried them. I just had a feeling I didn’t like them because I really think raisins are yucky (And I’ve tried those!)

Yes, Leigh was being judgy towards dates. Shame on me! Then I got curious because I read all the health benefits and all the different ways to prepare them. (Thank you @eatingbirdfood ) Mindshift!! Perspective shift! I saw these scrumptious little guys in a whole different light!

The deets on dates:
✅high concentration of antioxidants
✅improves brain functionality
✅aids in healthy bowel movements

Moral of the story....don’t be judgy towards food (or frankly anything in life) until you try it. As I tell my little humans, you must have a “No Thank you bite” before you can say you don’t like said food.

On regular Macro days to help hit my carb goal, my GOTO way to eat dates....stuff nut butter in them (add a dark chocolate chip to level this treat up! 😉) Tastes like a Reeses, but waaaaay healthier! BOOM! 🤯

How do you eat your dates?!? Tell me in the comments below!

HAVE TOU HEARD ABOUT…..

The magic of Carb Cycling?!

There is so much confusion out there whether or not carbs are a detriment to your fat loss goals….hello KETO DIET. 😖

Yuck and more yuck. Restricting my CARB intake forever sounds like a miserable plan that frankly is in NO WAY SUSTAINABLE.

In steps Carb Cycling…..you are able to have the best of both worlds (days where healthy FATS are your energy source and then days where COMPLEX CARBS are you energy source!)

Now that sounds like a winning SUSTAINABLE formula in my eyes.

I have an opportunity for you to join a CARB CYCLING MASTERCLASS on April 19th @ 12 PM est. With $19.99 investment, you will be educated on the magic of carb cycling, how it works, how to pair workouts with your carbs, the pitfalls of low carb diets, be given a delicious meal guide, sample workouts, and FASTer Way’s signature CARB tshirt.

Head to @realfitness502 to snag your spot today! You must register to receive replays ☺️

This is what middle age looks like in the FASTer Way. 🌸💥⚡️I lost count on how many days left until summer but I realized- WHO THE HELL CARES when you’re doing the best you can to stay healthy and enjoy life RIGHT NOW!

If you want to do better, you just have to start somewhere. I’d rather you do what’s reasonable to lose the meno weight and take your sweet time than rush and do something stupid in desperation to meet a “deadline”. How about you just live the lifestyle all the time, day in day out, instead of diet stunting on your own.

You have a community. You have a coach. You have someone who’s in menopause like you. I’ve managed it beautifully and so can you. 🌸

Carb cycling masterclass is April 19th. Register now through the link in my bio to join for just $20. You’ll feel so empowered with what you’ll learn. And that’s how it all starts. Because you DID something. ❤️

I’ve got a treat for you… but it’s not what you may not be what you think. A rich, gooey brownie is one of my favorites, but I’d rather share a slice of encouragement with you today. You are the light someone else is depending on right now. I know it may not always feel like it, but you’re making a BIG difference, and I find that way sweeter than any brownie 💕

What’s your favorite treat? Share the sweet deets below!

Oh….and enjoy a coffee on me! Visit my main page for details on how to use this gift card and then please, pay it forward and share a random act of kindness with someone else ✨
