Imagine being so busy worrying about everything your life isn’t that you forget to notice all the things someone else is dreaming of. 🥹💗

Apparently, all it took was a nine-year-old, some pink hair and a bright pink tram to remind me that maybe I’m doing better than I think.

Life isn’t perfect. I’m still figuring things out. But perhaps I need to spend a little less time worrying about where I should be and a little more time appreciating where I am.

Because growing up doesn’t have to mean giving up on the fun, the colour, the curiosity or the little girl inside us who just wants to PLAY.

Welcome to KINDERGARTEN WITH ME 🎨😂💗

Today’s project: turning a 1,000-piece puzzle into a masterpiece worthy of a Barbie dream house. 💅🏼

Featuring secondhand frames, family labour, questionable colour choices and a very serious arts & crafts department.

My mom and niece understood the assignment. Mostly. 😂

I think I’ve made a big mistake… 😂

I’m 41 and apparently I’ve reached the age where every hobby needs a business plan, every idea needs to be monetised and every spare thought needs a strategy.

So I’m doing the most sensible thing I could think of:

Going back to kindergarten. 🖍️

For the next 90 days, I’m following my curiosity instead of my productivity anxiety.

Art. Dress-up. Books. Making things. Moving my body. Trying ridiculous things. Learning things badly. Playing just because I feel like it.

No idea where this is going.

And for once… that’s the point. 🤎

I’ve been so ready to go home. My bags are packed, my flight is booked, and mentally I’ve already left.

And then tonight, sitting on the couch with a glass of wine and Netflix on in the background, I heard the church bells.

And I thought… I’m not going to hear those when I’m home.

Maybe that’s the thing about leaving somewhere. You spend so much time thinking about what you’re going back to that you forget to notice the little things you’re leaving behind.

So tonight, I’m choosing to pause and appreciate them. 🤍

The bells. The streets. The little moments I didn’t know I’d miss.

So… hi. 👋🏼

I’ve been a little MIA lately, and honestly… I didn’t really know what to say.

Geneva has been a LOT.

And it hasn’t exactly been what I expected — which, if you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know is actually quite typical of moving abroad and constantly starting over.

Things don’t always go the way you imagined they would.

But I think the reason I went quiet is because I found myself in this weird place where I wanted to share what was happening… but I didn’t really know how to talk about it yet.

And sometimes you don’t go quiet because you have nothing to say.

You go quiet because you have TOO much to say… and you’re still trying to figure out what you actually think.

So I decided I’m just going to start talking again.

Not because everything is figured out.

But because maybe that’s actually the point of sharing this kind of life.

POV: You’re still telling people Pilates isn’t “just stretching.” 😅

I’m ready for my Netflix documentary because somewhere along the way people decided Pilates was just lying down, pointing your toes, and having a little stretch.

Meanwhile…
✨ Strength.
✨ Stability.
✨ Mobility.
✨ Balance.
✨ Coordination.
✨ Control.
✨ Endurance.
✨ And yes… sometimes shaking like your life depends on it. 😂
