Last weekend’s ingenious Cartonera workshop during @southwestprintfiesta in Silver City, NM! I made it to the final Canyon Road walk of the summer. It was a lovely way to spend a Wednesday night - ran into friends, saw lots of wonderful art, heard great music and picked up a few fun things. There was a little bit of rain, a beautiful rainbow and a magnificent sunset! Thank you to everyone who helps make Canyon Road Summer Walks happen! by @amyinlamy

On Sunday July 12th, 2026 we celebrated the @mottainai_santafe 2 year anniversary party with our first proper High Desert Broadcast pop-up featuring our hats, scarves, t-shirts, risographs, and our new “awe and wonder” sticker, mini-art print, and magic ticket machine!

We wanted to thank everyone that came out and supported, it was so wonderful and we appreciated every minute of it.

A year ago @marthatraer asked if I wanted to be in a group show she was curating - her first! Her email said: “Sound and Vision is a group show that celebrates music and art simultaneously. Each piece must be 14x11 inches and be based on a song of your choosing. After those two restrictions are satisfied, you can take your art in any direction you want.” 🖼️

I was honored to be included and then the panic set in! 😩 Once the initial jitters settled, I took time to meditate on the idea, and what came to me was @courtneymarieandrews’ album Old Flowers. I love this album, and it was on repeat during a hard time in my life. I decided to take a drive and listen to the album. On that drive I decided on the title track, Old Flowers and started to concept what I would create. I wanted it to feel like an old house, vintage wallpaper, old memories, heartbreak. 💔

Serendipitously right after I told @tonycalz about my idea, he discovered Courtney Marie Andrews was playing at the Stakeout. These things tend to happen in New Mexico and of course we went! It was a beautiful, intimate evening. ✨

I’m proud of how my piece turned out. Thank you @marthatraer and @hechoamanoorg for this opportunity and support, thank you @tonycalz for your encouragement and belief in me, thank you to @psychic.stitch for the beautiful chain-stitching and thank you @courtneymarieandrews for creating such beautiful music. 🎶 🙏🏼🥰

Back in 2008 we discovered the work of @stephan_doitschinoff. Somehow we had ended up watching (can’t recall how we were turned onto it) - a short documentary “Temporal: The Art of Stephan Doitschinoff” (link in bio to doc) and we were immediately drawn into the visual language and the journey presented in a short 13min video.

It so happened at this sametime there was a show going on at Jonathan Levine gallery and we purchased a print titled “Vox Clamantis in Deserto” (look it up if you are curious). It’s a powerful image that has been a center piece of our home since we got the piece in 2008.

Roughly 16 years later we welcomed in a second print by @stephan_doitschinoff and we couldn’t be more excited about the piece.

This is a short video of the print being unrolled and viewed for the first time up close. If you are at all drawn to what you see please visit @stephan_doitschinoff and take a look at how his visual language is brought to life through many forms and disciplines - performance, installation, sculpture, and objects on top of painting and printmaking.

In the fall Tony and I met @sagepaisner at @fotoforumsantafe. He shared that he was running the photography department at @sfccnm and encouraged us to take a class. We decided to sign up for Photography 101! My first art class in art school!!! 🎨 It was a challenging experience, I learned a lot and am proud of my assignments. I thought I’d share a few.
