Overwhelming gratitude to all the friends and family who came out to the @culturecrawl over the last 4 days!

What a wonderful time full of wonderful people and many hours spent doing my favourite things: talking about painting!! It means the world to me, every single person who made it out!

Thank you to the other four amazing artists who made wonderful company along the way! @brycebaril, @yuko_fuji_art, @traceycostescu, @ren.artvis

Many thanks to @basicinquiry for keeping the traditions of drawing the human figure from life alive, and giving us the space to share this practice with others 💟

And hello to new friends who are here from the crawl! I hope you can follow along on my continued art journey here on Instagram!

💐

At some point in my life recently, it felt like I began to witness endings more than beginnings. It’s a particular heaviness and wistfulness. Sometimes bitterness and anguish. Yet, grief is something we all experience in our lives, in one form or another. But all the while I’m learning: grief also signals change; that something has passed and something else is anew.

Inviting all of you who may be in Victoria to “Good Grief”, an incredible show the @ministryofcasualliving has put together to bring about many of the embodied facets of grief, and to have conversation and discussion around it, and see how it manifests in art.

My own painting will be at the show, a piece dedicated to my grandparents. Hope to see some of you soon :)

“Good Grief” opening Thursday April 30th, from 5pm-8pm at 750 Fairfield Rd.

The show will be on from April 30th - May 30th if you can’t make it tomorrow, or want to view it on your own time. by @amyjylu

The last painting of 2025, until the last light

Flowers of a month that has flourished and now nearing its end. Something new will soon fill the vase.

Hi everyone!! This is so surreal, but as someone who has attended…5+ years of the culture crawl since I was 10 years old, I get to finally say I’ll be participating in it with some amazing artists at @basicinquiry!!

The crawl is one of the best events of the year, where artists all around Vancouver open up their studios to visitors. Like a pub crawl…but art!

It’s on from Thursday Nov 20 - Sunday Nov 23 so you’ll have plenty of time to check out some incredible artists!

I’ll be at 1011 Main Street every day and doing a demo on Saturday from 1:30-4pm if you want to drop by and say hello!

More details about the crawl on their website or link in my bio!!! See you all there! 🐦‍⬛🎨

Underground in Berlin with @amyjylu this summer. We have now shot together in a few different countries, but it’s hard to beat home, and in the U Bahn.
