In Whose Presence?

Shaped and moulded by our surroundings, this collaboration delves into the depths of journeys. Resonating differently, each artist is on their own trajectory embodying, interpreting and questioning their surroundings, their relationships to the others in the space as well as their relationship to themselves. How they begin this journey will not be the same as how they end. In Whose Presence symbolises the loss of the typical relationship between the dancer and choreographer, exploring the collaborative process of choreography, welcoming and acknowledging each individual idea and interpretation. ‘The one who tastes knows; the one who explains, lies’ will you be invited on this journey or will you simply maintain your presence?

✨ MA DISSERTATION FESTIVAL 2025 ✨

We continue our celebration with a collaborative and reflective piece by MA student Amy Perry.

‘In Whose Presence’ is
created in collaboration with the dancers; this piece explores how we are shaped by our surroundings.
Each performer follows a unique path — embodying, interpreting, and questioning their environment, their connections to others, and their evolving relationship with themselves.

A meditation on movement, presence, and personal trajectory.

Performed by:
Natacha Aaron | VK Kuronen | Katherine Sarney | Julie Sedláčková | Phoebe Tyler
