Grad vol. 2 🕊️🦉

I’ve travelled back in time for the most beautiful four days. And there are no words left, and too many at the same time.

Seeing West Sussex slowly appear somewhere far below me from the plane while listening to Landslide by Fleetwood Mac, a place where I grew into the person I am today and where I met people who eventually made Chichester my new home… do I need to say it made me cry?

Chichester, England, I love you. I love you through your landscapes, through all the rainy nights, through everyone I’ve met, through everything that shaped my experiences within you. Through the strange lady shouting “CONGRATULATIONS!” at me as I was walking through town in my graduation robe to pick up breakfast. Through the person who, with the widest smile, said the same thing just a few steps away. Through being reunited with all my friends from Mapdance and seeing some of our teachers again. Through saying hi to the owner of my favourite coffee shop. Through the girl who stopped on the street just to say how beautiful I looked sitting on the stairs in the town centre…

I will forever be grateful to my parents for giving me the opportunity to live through all of this.

And a very special thanks to my brother who was calling me so often back then <3 Seriously though, it was always hard to leave. Thank you for all these videos you took for me.

It’s Teacher Tuesday! 💜✨

Next up is the lovely Amy Perry 🪩

Amy is a dance artist and teacher who has recently graduated with a Masters in Performance Dance from the University of Chichester. Whilst in her recent training she was a part of MapDance Company, performing across the country with the company’s spring tour✨

In her early years, she trained at a local dance school, became a member of Hampshire Youth Dance Company before completing her undergraduate training in Dance Performance at the University of Chichester. She has been fortunate to have worked with several renowned choreographers throughout her training💜

Alongside performing, Amy is also a passionate choreographer and teacher, providing a space for each person to freely express their individuality through movement. Having received numerous performance and creative opportunities throughout her training, she takes inspiration from the different choreographic processes she’s been a part of to develop an eclectic, inclusive way of making of her own🪩

✨ MA DISSERTATION FESTIVAL 2025 ✨

We continue our celebration with a collaborative and reflective piece by MA student Amy Perry.

‘In Whose Presence’ is
created in collaboration with the dancers; this piece explores how we are shaped by our surroundings.
Each performer follows a unique path — embodying, interpreting, and questioning their environment, their connections to others, and their evolving relationship with themselves.

A meditation on movement, presence, and personal trajectory.

Performed by:
Natacha Aaron | VK Kuronen | Katherine Sarney | Julie Sedláčková | Phoebe Tyler
