Today is World Cancer Day, and we’re sharing Amy’s story.

I have an EPIC announcement!

I am the newest team member at EPIC Real Estate 🏡 , where I will take all of the execution, organizational, entrepreneurial and relationship skills developed over the past 14 years in direct sales, and help clients all over Central Arkansas buy and sell real estate—whether it’s a first home, last home, vacation home, or commercial property.

My dad & brother are in Commercial Real Estate & for many years my dad has encouraged his 3 girls to get our real estate license. I dismissed it, having 5 kids to raise, and being an expert in the direct selling channel (which I still am 😉).

After Walker graduated, I decided it was time to get my license. Breast Cancer happened in April 2024 and I stopped life for an entire year. My competitive nature was reignited January 2025 after my year long battle with Cancer and I decided it’s time to pass this dang real estate test 👊🏼

My goal was to pass the exam before Cooper’s wedding-and that’s exactly what I did on April 24, 2025. 🥳

2 weeks after passing my exam, I was able to secure a listing, and within 48 hours, my client’s home was under contract! Success loves speed is my motto 🙌🏼 and I will do everything I can to offer you the same speed and success on your next real estate transaction, so let’s move! 🏠

Mimi & Burr cannot be more in love with our first grandson 💙 He’s beautiful in every way and so thankful to the Lord he is healthy and so perfect.

“Survivor.” I never expected that. 🎗️

I never thought “breast cancer” would be attached to my name.

2024 was the hardest year of my life. Five rounds of chemo, Thirty rounds of radiation, A double mastectomy, Hysterectomy & in the ICU twice with Staph & Sepsis.

And then I lost my crown, my hair. I won’t pretend that wasn’t humbling. Walking around bald felt embarrassing. I was sick, tired, and my body was changing in ways I didn’t recognize.

But here’s what I’ll never forget: I was loved anyway. My kids, my friends, my people loved me exactly as I was, bald head and all.

I clung to Psalm 112:7: “I will not fear bad news. She confidently trusts the Lord to take care of her.”

And God kept His promise from Joel 2:25: “I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten.” He gave me back my hair and then some. 😉

If walking through this means even one woman schedules her mammogram and catches it early, it was worth it. 🩷 If I can give them HOPE.
HOPE in JESUS - where would I even be if I didn’t know where I was going after I die 😭

I won’t pretend I don’t still struggle and cry from time to time, because I do. I sometimes still ask “WHY ME”, but I’m also not going to stay down and defeated because what purpose does that do? So I show up everyday. I exercise, I read my Bible, I eat good (most of the time 😜) & I hang around positive people. I really don’t stay in a place of worry, I don’t focus on the stupid stuff of life and I just pray that 2024 was only a glimpse on my life timeline that I will never have to encounter again. 🙌🏼

God is good All The Time! 🩷🎗️
