We're so excited to announce our first speaker for #CRE26 is Amy Summerfield!

Amy is the CEO of Kyria, a leadership network that champions, empowers, and releases women, and serves as Head of Development at Skylark International. She previously led Connect Church in Paisley, Scotland, as Senior Pastor and is now part of the leadership team at Zeo Church. Amy is also the co-founder of Pulse Children's and Youth Ministries and is a sought after speaker at leadership and women's conferences.

This is a short video (under 2 minutes), but it carries something deeply meaningful to me. In it, It shares a glimpse of my faith in Jesus who He is in my life, what He’s done for me, and why this day holds such powerful significance.
Jesus isn’t just part of my story, He is the reason for it. His love, grace, and sacrifice have changed me in ways I can’t fully put into words, but I felt led to share even a small piece of that with you.
If you’ve ever been searching for hope, peace, purpose, or truth, I truly encourage you to seek Him for yourself. You don’t need to have it all figured out, just be open. He meets you where you are.

Being a CEO of a charity (Kyria) can be quite a daunting task. One of the hardest things to do is to be brave enough to ask people for financial support, especially friends and family.

But I must keep being brave with my ask because I genuinely believe in what I do and why Kyria is still so needed, It’s a huge privilege for me to lead the Kyria Network as it seeks to champion, empower and release women in all spheres of leadership. We do this through conferences, leadership focus events, resources, and 1:1 advice and support for hundreds of women across the United Kingdom (now in all four UK nations).

Kyria has made some great advances in the past few years, but the need is still great. Many women remain marginalised, misrepresented and misunderstood in nearly every sphere especially, and sadly, within the Church. Because equity is a spiritual, social and economic imperative, women still need championing and empowering in safe spaces, where they can be affirmed in their God-given gifting and calling to lead where God has planted them.

@mattsummerfield and I had an inspiring and informative time with @sheerahnetwork last night at their second premier directed by Lisa Leonce and Oge Austin-Chukwu. Sheerah Network is part of @skylark.international and @kyrianetwork . Legacy: Saving Lives beyond the Horizon” tells the captivating story of @jasmineleonce , a National Maternity Speciality Advisor to NHS England who provides clinical leadership and support to NHSE and the Maternity Safety Support Programme. Jasmine, a Consultant Obstetrician with a special interest in Obstetrics and Fetal Medicine, has worked in various capacities at the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust since 2011. She was the first Black, Female Maternity Improvement Advisor (Obstetrics) to be appointed by NHS England.

The documentary powerfully highlights the disparity women face in maternal care in the UK, including the reality of mental health challenges, and showcases the positive impact and contribution that women have made in leadership. The panel conversations and the whole evening were challenging, thought-provoking now and needed! A second showing of this documentary will be shown at @zeochurch on 6th June.
