📷第三期・安西剛｜ニューヨーク滞在フォトレポート② @an2ai 現在ニューヨークで活動中の安西剛さん。 滞在中盤の様子を、写真とともにお届けします！ —— 今回の滞在の目標のひとつは、知らない人に話しかけられるようになることだ。というわけで、チェルシー中のギャラリーが一斉にオープニングを開催する 「Chelsea Gallery Opening Night」へ出かけた。 知らない人に話しかけるには、少しくらい気を大きくしたほうがいい。そのためにも、まず一杯飲もう。オープニングといえばお酒だ。 しかし、何かがおかしい。誰もグラスを持っていない。そんなバカなと思って隣のギャラリーを覗いてみる。ない。その隣もない。 そんな感じで、ほとんどすべてのギャラリーを見て回ったが、結局見つからなかった。足がもう限界だ。 流石に帰ろうかと思って入った最後のギャラリー。ようやく見つけた。バーボンと何かを混ぜた、スペイン語っぽい名前のカクテル。ついに辿り着いた、まさに至高の一杯。 その日は大変満足して帰路につくことができた。 Photo 1: Hauser & Wirthで イ・ブルさんとNEW INCのサロメさんが話している —— 📌WAN第三期採択クリエイター 安西 剛｜現代美術作家 プラスチック製の⽇⽤品で構成された、機械が勝⼿に動き回る様⼦を作品と称しながら、プラスチックとヒトとの関係について気まぐれに思索する。近年ではマイクロプラスチックに焦点を当て、リサーチや⽴体作品を展開している。主な個展に、「アペルト 12 安⻄剛『ポリ-』」（2020、⾦沢 21 世紀美術館／⽯川)、「Grounded」（2021、クンストラーハウス・ベタニエン／ドイツ）など。 ニューヨーク滞在期間｜2026年9月前半〜10月後半 プロジェクトの詳細やインタビュー映像は、プロフィール欄のWANウェブサイトよりご覧いただけます🔗 Supported by @jcsf_official #クリエイター支援基金 #artandtechnology #メディアアート #microplastics Photo 2: どこかのギャラリー。でっかい鍵の作品で裏側の写真しかなかった。 Photo 3: でかい彫刻作品の周りで談笑する人々 by @an2ai

I’m very happy to share that "Unsettled" has won the Alpine Fellowship Visual Art Prize 2026. 長年制作し続けている、日用品を組み合わせたキネティック・スカルプチャーの作品『Unsettled』が、ロンドン拠点のAlpine Fellowship Visual Art Prize 2026を受賞しました。 "Unsettled" is a continuous performance by kinetic sculptures and visitors. The machines move, interrupt, make noise, and sometimes fall apart. They are made by me, but never fully controlled by me. Joy begins where control fails.
