Han sido días de procesar muchas emociones, después de tanta cosa vivida 🌞

Con muchísima felicidad les comparto mi obra "Lodo" donde trato de reconstruir mi cuerpo junto con la Venus de Tamtoc, parte de mi proyecto de mi maestría @maartsandlearning

Todo esto es posible gracias a Alfredo Gamez por cuidar a la Venus de Tamtoc mejor que nadie en este mundo, y compartir su inmenso amor por la huasteca potosina.

Gracias a mi familia por cuidar de mí y por apoyarme en este proceso tan complejo de estudiar estando lejos de casa.

El proceso de “Dibujé para quedarme” ha sido una experiencia de sanación de heridas abiertas, de dolores viejos y de intenso amor.

Gracias a todes quienes conectaron con el proyecto, a quienes nos acompañaron, a quienes lloraron y rieron con nosotras.

Gracias por tanto amor al proyecto, nos emociona muchísimo pensar que esta sea
su primera entrega, no hay nada más hermoso que imaginarlo en otras latitudes 🥰

Gracias a @alfrophoto por confiar plenamente en nosotras, por abrirnos el corazón de @casaolinka y por compartir la ilusión de que estos dibujos salieran de las libretas.

Esperemos estas páginas se vuelvan a abrir pronto 💘

Last week we had the first session of the workshop Landscapes from Memory in collaboration with the members from @we.are.noria delivered by @ana_mastretta and curated by me.

This workshop seeks to explore through textile collage the memories of those places that still inhabit us and persist in our affection through the past of time and space.

Thank you to all the attendees for your time and valuable contributions, to Ana for this amazing work and to Noria Collective for supporting the process and allowing us to be part of their community, and special thanks to @set.social.peckham for giving us the space. by @ana_mastretta

Qué felicidad compartir proyectos, escucha y búsquedas desde tantos territorios.

El encuentro virtual de Vasijas y Ollas organizado por @alfareriaololiuqui @chumabarro @morales.martha @biblioteca.revelaciones @anreedl me deja maravillada al reflexionar sobre la tierra, el contenedor y los procesos colectivos.

Gracias por el espacio y la invitación para hablar de mi proceso de investigación sobre la Venus de Tamtoc.

Fue fascinante escuchar a @abywhiteart sobre su trabajo La Piel de la Tierra; a @ahuehuetee sobre esculturas de tan compleja creación sobre la experiencia migratoria; a @anreedl sobre el cuerpo gestante y la sabiduría de Xochitécatl; a @studio_rez sobre su experiencias alfareras en Puebla y Cholula; a @lmmayku sobre su rescate al azul maya; a @manosquenarran sobre experiencias alfareras en la sierra Veracruzana; a @ragmapu sobre su identidad alfarera mapuche; a @slow_bump por su poesía de amor a la cerámica.

"Routes to Becoming" is the final exhibition of our journey with @maartsandlearning .Through practice based research, we questioned our connections to learning and education, exploring core notions of belonging, playfulness, memory, and nature.

We are incredibly grateful to all of our tutors, teachers, and technicians who made this exhibition possible after an incredible year (or two!) of learning and growing together. by @ana_mastretta

Yesterday was the PV of “Saulius Leonawičius invites…”, a group show curated by @division_of_labour where ten artists engage with ancient histories, archaeology, and memory.

I’m so grateful to @division_of_labour and @florencetrust for inviting me and for giving me the chance to share my love for the Venus of Tamtoc.

Thank you, @moxieravenstudio for being my art hermana and for loving la Huasteca as much as I do 🌸

I’m also incredibly grateful to @maartsandlearning for being such a fantastic space to develop my practice research, and to @esthersayers for introducing me to the wonderful world of kalitype.

The exhibition runs until 06.06.2026 at The Florence Trust, Holy Trinity, N1 0NH, London.

In this workshop, we will explore our relationship with the archaeological past and present through the Venus of Tamtoc, a sculpture from the Huastec region of Mexico.

Very little is known about this sculpture beyond its discovery in fragments beneath a sacred water spring. Rather than attempting to fill these gaps, this session invites participants to embrace the unknown and to engage with questions of meaning, absence, and mystery.

Through drawing, writing, and collective sharing, we will reflect together on what it means to encounter an artwork that resists fixed interpretation.

Open to all Goldsmiths UOL students.

Encounter

This is my most recent exploration of the Venus of Tamtoc. Working with fabrics and inks, I reveal corporeal forms that trace the human figure—echoes of an ancient femininity.

The piece is designed for interaction; it invites the viewer to play with its detached parts like a puzzle.

I am infinitely grateful for the learnings at @maartsandlearning, which reconnected my heart with this research.

"Encuentro" es mi más reciente pieza sobre la Venus de Tamtoc. Es un juego de telas y tintas donde se descubren corporalidades, donde reconocemos la figura humana, ecos de una feminidad antigua

La pieza está hecha para ser transitada, para recorrerse y jugar con las partes despredigadas como si fuera un rompecabezas.
