What a week! ❤️

I’ve been in my new role for a few weeks now, and this week was such a reminder of how much I love being out in the community, meeting people, building relationships, and simply being present.

I especially loved spending time in Springfield, MA, at McKinley House, helping with their Brown Bag food program, and ending the week at Linden Towers for their Resident Appreciation Hoedown. 🤠

So many wonderful conversations, so much laughter, and such a strong sense of community.

Weeks like this remind me how rewarding it is to do work that is centered around people, connection, and giving back. ❤️

Today was the day! ❤️🐾

We officially moved Vincent into his dorm at Fresno State for his freshman year. So many emotions — excitement, pride, a little disbelief… and so much happiness for him as he begins this next chapter.

What a year of changes for all of us! New homes, new adventures, new beginnings. And today, this one feels especially big. ❤️

Such a fun day in LA! ☀️💕

Started the day with a fabulous gals’ brunch in Burbank, then headed over to Atwater Village for some family time — complete with soft serve ice cream. 🍦❤️

And later this week, the big moment: getting my son settled into his college dorm! 🎓💙 So exciting… and definitely a little emotional. What a special week!

Building community, right at home ❤️

One of the most exciting parts of moving back to Western Massachusetts has been creating a new home and becoming part of a new community.

When I moved into my condominium, I realized I didn't really know any of my neighbors. We'd smile and wave in passing, but I thought, Why not actually get to know one another?

So I did the simplest thing I could think of: I invited everyone over for brunch.

This morning, about ten neighbors walked through my door. Some have lived here for years. One hasn't even officially moved in yet! We shared coffee and quiche, learned about one another's lives, exchanged phone numbers, laughed a lot—and turned some familiar faces in the hallway into actual neighbors.

I started the brunch because I wanted to make some new friends. What I loved most was watching other people connect, too.

I've always believed that community doesn't necessarily just happen. Sometimes someone has to open the door, extend the invitation, and create the space for people to come together.

Today, quite literally, I got to open mine.

And judging by the beautiful flowers, homemade cookies, and thoughtful welcome gifts left behind, I think we're off to a pretty wonderful start.

Next up? I'm already thinking about a holiday gathering. 😊

Here's to making the first move, opening the door, and building community wherever we are. ❤️

Tonight was one of those perfect Wednesday evenings. ❤️

My brother came over and, if you know John Cabán at all, you know he's an incredible chef. He whipped up an amazing striped bass and sea scallop gumbo, while I handled the Caprese salad. 🍅🧀🐟

After dinner, we settled in for Episode 1 of Season 4 of Ted Lasso. Great food, lots of laughs, and the simple joy of being together.

These are the moments I dreamed about when I decided to move back to Western Massachusetts—living close to family, sharing ordinary evenings that somehow feel extraordinary.

Life is grand. 💛

This. ❤️ This is why I moved back to Massachusetts.

Not for a job. Not for a house. Not for a change of scenery.

For moments like these.

Time with my dad. Time with my brother. Time together while we still can.

Life has a way of reminding us what really matters, and for me, it's family. Every hug, every laugh, every ordinary afternoon together is a gift I don't take for granted.

No regrets. Just gratitude. ❤️

It was so great seeing my childhood friend @llcoolvega70 at SoulFlow this morning! 💛

I honestly can't remember the last time we saw each other, but it felt like not a single moment had passed. Those kinds of friendships are such a gift.

Back in grade school, the lunch ladies basically thought we were twins. 😄 Can you guys see the resemblance?

What do you do when your 17-year-old heads back to California to get ready for college?

You sand down a vintage nightstand and give it a second life. ❤️

This solid wood piece was covered in paint, water stains, and years of wear. After a lot of sanding (and a sore back 😅), it's finally stained and ready for polyurethane later this week.

There's something incredibly satisfying about restoring old things. Maybe that's what this season of life is about too. ✨
