When you drive a classic car with no air conditioning on a hot day, you have to cool off before you will pass the temp check to enter a building. by @anaheimroadster

Had a buddy remove some bad cancer and weld in some good metal. I will also have to buy those lower fender patches as the rust on them is all the way thru. by @anaheimroadster

Worked on the exhaust last week. Soaked in degreaser for 8 hours and rigged a scruber to reach the entire inside. Then wire brushed all rust off. Used Eastwood Internal paint rated at 1800° and Eastwood external coating rated at 1400°. #eastwoodco by @anaheimroadster

So far, this event is still on. Outdoor seating available. Wear a mask and please be thoughtful about social distancing. ALL CLASSIC CARS WELCOME. by @anaheimroadster

Cleaned, scrubed, and painted the engine. My taping skills were pretty good. Also bought a compression checking tool from HF for $23. With a cold engine, and havent checked the valves, the numbers are good and the range is all within 6 psi, 149-155. by @anaheimroadster

Bought an ultrasonic cleaner from harbor freight. The reviews were good, and i agree. Worked very well. Ive never rebuilt a carb before, so thought i would do it. Took tons of fotos, plus, rebuilding one at a time so i have an untouched carb for reference. Also cleaned and polished the intake manifold and linkage. Placed everything on the engine just for motivation. by @anaheimroadster

Cleaned and polished the valve cover. Got my new valve cap from datsunparts.com. To clean this aluminum, i use 1000 grit, then 2000 grit wet sandpaper, then a polishing kit. The aluminum on the wheels was so bad, i had to start with 600 grit on the outside and used a wire wheel on the inside. by @anaheimroadster

A friend with a Datsun roadster has an extra vert top and frame. I tried it out for size. I need some new snaps and the front window clamps need work, but looks good. Not sure how much he wants for it yet. We will see how close of a friend we are...😃 by @anaheimroadster

Spent the weekend working on the wheels. Used a wire wheel on the inside it was so bad. On the outside, 600, 1000, then 2000 grit wet sanding. Then polisher. Sanded the old gold, then painted. Looks pretty decent and it only cost me time and soreness...(i will buy tires later) by @anaheimroadster
